I had braces for 7 years because it was during my school years so they had to make sure my teeth didn't shift over summer break. Then I had my retainer for a year. I had to have dental surgery because two do my teeth hadn't descended due to a deep-rooted silver tooth that had to be removed. Only thing I liked was changing the colors of my bracket bands on my braces. But it was hell 😳
@BillyBinges I think this movie was a great depiction for people of all ages to understand their emotions. Cuz there are way too many adults that don't even know how to process their feelings. For the 3rd one I'd love to see her about to graduate high school/senior year or starting college/formidable young adult years
"Maybe this is what happens when you grow up. You feel less joy." I love this line because it's what the first movie illustrated and what this sequel reinforces - life gets complicated, it gets messy and as you get older, it continues to try and steal your joy. It doesn't always come as easily as it once did, but the point is balance and to actively seek it. That's why they say to, "find the joy in the little things." We often forget that she may not be the focus, but she is still there.
As a person who suffers from Anxiety with very random and out of nowhere triggers, I can personally say that Anxiety is manifested SO well in this movie. When anxiety takes over, it gets so hard to breathe, think, move, speak - ALL of it. Inside Out 2 is my favorite movie, not just for the visuals, but how much I relate so much to it. EDIT: Comment section got wild. Don't worry, my darlings. Anxiety is in no way a disorder, nor should you EVER think that there is something wrong with you when Anxiety takes the reins. All it takes is a good moment to yourself or a friend/family member. If you pay attention to the other emotions in this film, NO ONE is immune to it. Everyone is different. We all have it. Everyone who commented is beautiful, positive or negative commenters.
@KauanFelipe-px1qq*Anyone, or everyone. While this is true, but anxiety manifests differently for everyone. Some may have anxiety that’s low level and doesn’t have many physical symptoms. While others, have high levels
Anxiety's portrayal was incredibly accurate. When she had her anxiety attack, I was almost overwhelmed. I was so on the edge of my seat in the theater that I was in tears.
Saw it in theaters once and I had a full blown anxiety attack and my little brother held my hand and helped me through it…I don’t deserve him he’s the sweetest kid 🥹
Can we talk about how the portrail of each emotions comes through in how they interact with the pannel! Sadness is almost apprehensive about it, Anger almost pokes it with force, Anxiety is fast and rough, and Joy touches the pannel with delicacy and gentleness.
It's interesting to see the movie from the point of view of someone who doesn't deal with anxiety on a daily basis. I've done many of Railey's things in my life, even as an adult, but now that I've been in therapy for a few months,, I'm learning. It really seems like Anxiety has all the solutions, but then it just escalates... In the end, this movie represented very well what happens when you put your anxiety first.
18:21 anxiety wants to help and protect you from the things that could harm you like they did harm you in the past but it only hinders you when you let it lead you and this movie shows that perfectly
When I saw the anxiety attack scene for the first time, I cried because i related to it so much. Your anxiety just takes over and all the negative thoughts just keep flying in. I actually really liked the end for Anxiety(the character) because you can't get rid of her, but you can calm her down and redirect her attention to something you can actually control. I really do love this movie
There’s so many gems in this, but my favorite line is “we don’t get to choose who Riley is. “ This take may sound old af but I think one of the biggest lessons you have to learn at that age is that your emotions are just emotions - they come and go - They are meant to give you signals but they should not run you and all of them should not be acted upon
"Yall are like Billy we don't come here for that" No man I actually do come here for that because you're perspective on things, your positivity I wish I had on most days, and how you remind us to be healthy (and drink water) are the reasons I come here man. I will not hold it against you. Preach my man, and never stop doing that.
When Joy tells Anxiety that she has to let Riley go...BABY, I was in the theater with my kids and got a little emotional. I felt that all in my Shanana
When joy say “I guess this is what happens when you grow up, you feel less joy” that almost made me cry, this movie literally influences my teenage life, and I’m not even 15 yet, it’s messed up.. Edit: I’m 15 now
I see many people confused about this, the reason joy tries looking through memeories desperately after the tube breaks is because in the first movie when she is stuck in the forgotten zone with bing bong, she finds a sad memory that was previously a happy memory, which led her to realise what sadness is all about. And in this movie she is trying to do the same with picking up the bad memories and sliding through Them to find the happiness but she ends up finding none
You paused twice?!? Wow this movie really gotcha. This movie had a lot of depth to it. Thankfully i dont suffer from anxiety but you know those who watched this left the theaters with a flood of tears.
I may not suffer from Anxiety but I still did cry and get emotional bcuz what i did resonate a lot with was when Riley’s core beliefs changed from “I’m a good person” to “I’m not good enough”. Cuz on daily basis I believe im not good enough. And struggling with that everyday is very hard.
It's important to remember there are no bad emotions. Anxiety is just trying to protect us like every other emotion. It's just trying to protect Riley. Anxiety is just very sensitive and can turn into unhealthy behaviour if not managed well. Which is what we get to see at the end. They're helping to stop anxiety before she goes too far and then redirects her to something that would actually be beneficial to Riley. Every emotion will ALWAYS be needed. They just need to learn how to do their job the best for the person they have. That goes for us people too.
That's great. I finally realized after all these years, that I didn't only have test anxiety, I had generalized anxiety. Made me reach out to get help.

When the main crew do an explosion and all the bad memories flow out to the belief system, it’s also a representation of suppressing bad things that come exploding one day
It's so real that Anxiety always plans for the worst to come, but for the actual outcomes, it's never prepared and when it then gets caught off-guard, it's spiralling even further out of control
The emotions blocking memories is kinda good though.. Y’know when you have certain memories that were traumatic and you don’t remember till you’re able to handle it.
Billy I just want to say thank you, bc this video is helping me a lot; I'm going through so many things that it feel like I lost myself and lol related to anxiety...but th advice you gave made me feel better. Taking it one day at a time.
The thing with anxiety is that like all emotions, it's not naturally bad. Riley was anxious about not making the cut, so it prompted her to get up early and put in some extra practice. She was anxious that she had alienated herself, so anxiety prompted her to clear things up with Val. It's when we don't keep it in check that it can mess with our sense of self and get us to make some bad choices.
This is one of da best movies out of 2024 so far. I really could relate to this a lot and I still can't help but laugh at how sassy Disgust is. They got the panic attack scene on point and I honestly liked the new additions. Ennui personally being my favorite.
I saw this in theaters, and as soon as Riley's sense of self said "I'm not good enough," it was tears until the end for me lmao. Love all of your videos. Chicken heads bring joy 💜
I remember watching Inside Out 2 in theatres with my sister and her friends. At the end of the movie, this girl screamed “SHE MADE THE TEAM!!!” And everybody at the movie theatre started laughing.
As someone who doesn’t deal with anxiety on the day to day, I had a very similar reaction to Anxiety! My friends who do deal with it on the day to day have praised how well it was portrayed and can relate tho! Plus, despite the cringe, Rileys actions/emotions were very relatable at times. I’m glad Disney made this💕
I have major depressive disorder going on 13 years now and I watched this movie by myself a few weeks ago. The part where Joy says you feel less joy when you grow up got me way too hard. Now I've been going on a TH-cam tour watching all the reactors watch this movie and this is the first time something the reactor said hit me even harder than that quote in the movie. At 47:23, when you said "This is how hard the joy in you is fighting to come out." ...god. I'm still tearing up even writing it out now. I hate depression. Have had it a third of my life and it just feels like my identity. Going to therapy to try to fight it, but it's so hard.
I saw this movie in theaters for my birthday! I don’t think it was better than inside out one, but as someone who has anxiety and panic attacks, this movie has one of the best representations of one!
You know Billy, I can't speak for everyone, however I like you talking and expressing yourself and feeling and preaching. Idk someone who grew up lonely really appreciates you and your thoughts on things. ❤
I think it's important to note that anxiety truly does have a role in our lives and it is important. The problem is when it grows larger than everything else. I love how they showed the other emotions caring for anxiety, because that's basically them saying "chill, we got this for now". Also, dealing with anxiety is not easy and it is not simply a matter of choice, especially since it can take years for someone to even realize they have it. I say all of this out of personal experience, and I've been fighting against myself for my own life for over 10 years. This movie did great in showing how each emotion has it's role and has it's downside.
I appreciate your rambles so much but this one I especially needed to hear, about always finding some form of happiness no matter what life throws at you. I believe in seeing messages/signs when you need them and this was definitely one of them, as I've been struggling with the loss of my grandpa the last few weeks. So to hear you specifically name that loss, and what got you through, I couldn't thank you enough. Thank you for speaking what god put in your heart at that moment (as you said) and please continue to do it. I just wanted you to know it reached someone that was very in need. Much love Billy. 💜
44:00 man billy, thank you for being her and thank you for doing this God has a plan for you and I’ve been going through a lot lately and I’ll always come back to watch your videos ti put a smile on my face, also man thank you for your service🫡 my dad was in the military
No but tell me why when I saw it in theaters when Riley’s sense of self started saying “you’re not enough” I started having a full blown panic attack, I was boughta start crying and everything
All emotions are needed and important, even anxiety. It can prepare us for the bad things. One thing I learnt in therapy (because of social anxiety) was these questions: "What is the worst thing that could happen?" and "Can I deal with that?" For example, the worst thing in the movie would be Riley doesn't make the team. Life would go on. But you have to be aware of that so you don't stress about all the things that can happen. While I appreciate your sentiment of "Stay true to yourself!", almost all people want to fit in. This is why people hide parts of or doubt themselves. Everybody is influenced by those around them. But of course, Anxiety should never take the lead.
I think the next one they’ll most likely add like “love” as an emotion . Maybe grief ? If she’s also like a senior in high school they could make the movie abt her preparing to go to college, and then like her mom or dad dies and it just shows much grief and just depression can really take over ur life
“The French word ennui is a loanword that describes a feeling of boredom, tiredness, and dissatisfaction, often due to a lack of interest or excitement” so, major teenage vibes 😂 Loved your rants during this, and the reaction to the Anxiety attack scene
I love your messages & talking Billy!! Really felt like the movie resonated with you & you even gave me some good take aways from what you were saying! Always a comfort watching your vids.
"Chickenheads bring joy." Oh and also I felt the most seen in this film ever. My anxiety definitely drives most of the time, to the point that the "massage chair" shown in the film for anxiety is made of medication and meditation in my head. Riley's anxiety/panic attack felt so real. I definitely recognised the signs, but luckily I also recognised the tools she used to get out of it.
These are the most pearls of wisdom we've gotten in one video lol .. I love how Billy always keeps it real and talks about his time in service and even his family 🥹 I watched this in theaters with my kids and my 11yr old daughter was ridden with anxiety throughout.. And then she went to watch it in theaters again with my sister 🤦🏻♀
Came to this video after finally watching inside out 2 on disney+ and i just wanna say, this movie does an extremely accurate depiction of anxiety! I've had anxiety for about as early as i can remember (which would be preschool), and when she was spiraling into her anxiety attack it almost caused me to start having one because that is EXACTLY what it feels like! The constant negative thoughts racing around your head, the feeling of being out of control, your vision and perception being distorted, even to the calming down aspect of 'what's something i can touch, hear, smell, and see', to help ground you. What i love more than anything about this movie though is it helps to show that anxiety is a normal emotion, it's perfectly normal to be anxious about making a new team, or starting a new school, or whatever the case may be. However, the most important thing to remember is that you can't let that emotion control your life.
Pete Docter (the film's executive producer and director of the first movie) stated in an interview he considers the film to be his favorite out of all the Pixar movies.
Oh the part about you wanted to bring positive in our lives hit hard. I started to watch your video a few years ago during a depression. And watching you was indeed helpful. Thanks you!
8:01 I wholeheartedly disagree. Joy is the one who has made the most mistakes. Sadness only makes Riley cry and lets her pain get out and emphasize with other people. Also she is an expert and technical mind stuff. Joy is the one who screw things up a ton😂
But are they good mistakes? Is trying your best and failing a mistake? Is trying to help someone and helping them the wrong way a mistake? What if Sorrow had kickstarted the Back of the Mind collapse early, which is technically a good thing. Would every other emotion Sadness included see that as a healthy thing? Or does Riley need to see first-hand that nonstop happiness can be toxic, and any one emotion/belief can be damaging Joy included. Riley called for Joy at the end of the movie which might be saying that despite her incorrect leadership she's still pushing Riley in an overall positive direction. Sorrow could be a great leader too, but for Riley Joy's philosophy of idealistic optimism rules.
20:54 yeah but she is the captain and the only one who made it into the team as a freshmen. The couch respects her opinion. So if Val talks great things about Riley the couch might give Riley an opportunity to stand out. So anxiety is not wrong about that

I think your T-shirt might be on target. 😂😂❤️

It's when we don't keep it in check that it can mess with our sense of self and get us to make some bad choices.
the commentary of this video is top notch and deepppp love the advices 🎉 im sure a lot of people really needed it
This is one of da best movies out of 2024 so far.
I really could relate to this a lot and I still can't help but laugh at how sassy Disgust is. They got the panic attack scene on point and I honestly liked the new additions. Ennui personally being my favorite.
Same, as an emo boy I can truly relate to her
*anxiety attack, cause it’s anxiety* 😅
I saw this in theaters, and as soon as Riley's sense of self said "I'm not good enough," it was tears until the end for me lmao. Love all of your videos. Chicken heads bring joy 💜
Would like to see Riley go through something like Grief. Would be a very important depiction for children
I've got too attached to her parents I'd be heartbroken if anything happens to them lmao
@@azural8347 it doesn’t have to be her parents. It could be a coach, a grandparent etc.

Ok Preacher Billy, I see you. Out here getting me all motivated 😂❤
Chickenheads bring joy
I remember watching Inside Out 2 in theatres with my sister and her friends. At the end of the movie, this girl screamed “SHE MADE THE TEAM!!!” And everybody at the movie theatre started laughing.
I saw this in theaters with my husband. We both loved this movie and it hit me hard because I have PTSD and it really spoke to me!
Nearly an HOUR of Billy? Today is a blessed day✌🏼🔥
You know Billy, I can't speak for everyone, however I like you talking and expressing yourself and feeling and preaching. Idk someone who grew up lonely really appreciates you and your thoughts on things. ❤
Thank you Fin!! I appreciate you
I think it's important to note that anxiety truly does have a role in our lives and it is important.
FINALLY I'VE BEEN WAITING SO LONG.
SAMEEEEEE
I appreciate your rambles so much but this one I especially needed to hear, about always finding some form of happiness no matter what life throws at you. I believe in seeing messages/signs when you need them and this was definitely one of them, as I've been struggling with the loss of my grandpa the last few weeks. So to hear you specifically name that loss, and what got you through, I couldn't thank you enough. Thank you for speaking what god put in your heart at that moment (as you said) and please continue to do it. I just wanted you to know it reached someone that was very in need. Much love Billy. 💜
Anxiety looks like Fregley from diary of a wimpy kid

44:00 man billy, thank you for being her and thank you for doing this God has a plan for you and I’ve been going through a lot lately and I’ll always come back to watch your videos ti put a smile on my face, also man thank you for your service🫡 my dad was in the military
So my mom brought the movie to stream on Amazon prime and the literal next day it came out on Disney Plus

I love how Billy always keeps it real and talks about his time in service and even his family 🥹
I watched this in theaters with my kids and my 11yr old daughter was ridden with anxiety throughout..
Thanks you!
LOVE THIS MOVIE AND YOUR CHANNEL ❤ keep up the hard work!

Billy, I truly appreciate your commentary during this movie. There was a lot to discuss. You made some great points.
I feel attacked.. my phone is at 25% 😂. Just plugged my phone in
Btw chicken heads bring joy 😂
I felt worse. Because my phone was at 2% 💀
Billy’s got me crying at work right now 😂😂 but no, definitely needed the preaching. It feels good to run into that reassurance.
Watched this from the Bay Area. I’m a S.F. native born and raised. Lived here my whole life. ❤

20:54 yeah but she is the captain and the only one who made it into the team as a freshmen. The couch respects her opinion. So if Val talks great things about Riley the couch might give Riley an opportunity to stand out. So anxiety is not wrong about that
Amazing commentary! I actually really enjoyed your yapping. 😂
I feel like Inside Out could have 10 parts and extend far in the future with Riley’s great great grandkids
The two things that stuck with me from the Army was always "hunt the good stuff," and "embrace the suck."
