I think they’ve got a chance, now that smash bros is getting talked about less and less and now that all star brawl 2 seems to have all the stuff that all star brawl 1 lacked in its original release (voice acting, costumes) it has definitely has a chance now.

@@MrFoFlatyeah sure if a game is free to play then that means a lot more people can try it out but honestly Free to play games struggle quite a bit because they mostly rely on cosmetics and people paying a ton of money to support them i personally like paid games better because they don't rely on you paying a ton of money to support it you just buy and play

If pro Smash players play it more, and start to feature it at Smash tournaments, then it could remain strong for much longer. I really think they should have a little mini tournament for it at smash tournaments, it'd be silly not to, and I bet Nickelodeon would be WAAAAAAY more interested in e-sports than Nintendo, and would actually provide sponsorship money for the tournament and would pay for the prize money for the winners.
Think about it, smash players have by a long long way the lowest cash prizes of any video game e-sport, despite year after year being by far the highest watch games in all of e-sports (especially Melee which rakes in like 10 times the amount of viewers something like counterstrike does)
So nickelodeon would be daft not to fund some tournaments for this game at smash tournaments. Because that'd get tons of pro smash players to pick up the game and try to get good at it as a side hustle to pay for their smash tournaments and all the fees involved with travelling on a plane and playing the game full time as their job etc. They'd all think "well why not pick up the nickelodeon game, because if I win or get a top 3 place, I'll get multiple times the amount of money for that one tournament than I would get for winning every smash tournament of the year combined"
Then the game's popularity would skyrocket and people would play it seriously. I think a lot of it does depend on Nickelodeon being smart, though.
IMO, the two biggest flaws holding back the first game:
[1] The draw-back time for attacks was too quick- leaving very little time for proper anticipation to block/dodge.
[2] Poor contrast between the stage and characters..... everything either mushed together, or the stage would outshine the characters (not always, but was for most cases)... they need to hire a seasoned color stylist to address this problem.
Jimmy Neutron is in, Danny Phantom is in, and SpongeBob SquarePants is in. Now all we need is Timmy Turner and the original Nicktoons Unite! heroes will finally re-unite.
LS Mark has a short explaining why that won't be easy.

The original was a massive disappointment due to this, so maybe his will be worth it if Nickelodeon decided to actually fund the game and not do a cash grab as they have been with the kart racers and the last game. Took like 3 games releasing before they added voice acting. Absolutely absurd

They added voices in the first game. They just didn't have them at release, which... really hurt the game, honestly.

Everything that I've liked about the first has greatly improved! All we need now to make it a true sequel is to add Biggie Cheese into the game and it will be perfect.

You know what, credit where it's due, props to Gamesmill for dusting themselves off from the fall the first game took, and this one looks so much sharper. Maybe not a day one purchase, but I'll be watching your progress with much interest.
To be honest the base game going to be sold for a third of its initial price before next year.
My honest prediction is that while this game will be an overall improvement, it won’t sell well because when this was initially released, it was off the cuff of smash ultimate and people wanted alternatives to smash bros and other similar fighting games and many people picked up Nickelodeon and other platform fighters like Multiverses.
Now that they hyped died down, the majority of people would feel like “well I could buy this, but I already have the first game” and seeing how people dropped the game quick, I doubt there is much of a push to pick up this one.

I was on the fence about getting the first game, was enticed when they added Rocko and Garfield but ended up deciding against it. I will probably pick this one up though when the price drops.

I'm actually really excited about this! It seems like they have put care into it and fixed almost all of the problems from the first game, such as lack of content, not having voice acting from the start, and lack of certain details! This will definitely be amazing!
I hope this game has Story Mode to explain anything about this multiverse crossovers.

Hopefully Nickelodeon considers adding some characters from The Fairly OddParents to All-Star Brawl 2 in the future. Especially since Fairly OddParents characters weren't at all present in the first game.

This game will be the perfect opportunity for Squidward to take revenge on SpongeBob and Patrick for all the bad things they put him through in the series.
Definitely going to be getting this. Can't wait to see what else will be announced in the future! Looking forward to trying out Squidward and Jimmy Neutron! It's nice to see them.
Keep in mind that the original NASB had to compete with *Sora's addition to Smash Bros.*, more or less. This will get its own time to shine

I hope they add villains this time, and that story mode has boss battles against them. Though I wonder how they are going deal with supplemental material like the canon Danny Phantom comics and ATLA comics that severely changes the status quo and/or gives new powers to various characters?

I really hope they add more MLAATR characters in this sequel, it’s usually Jenny when is comes to games like this, so some variety would be nice.

Watch all this hype for just a third installment of the game to be announced a year later and since these are the same people who made Nickelodeon allstar Raceing and have a 3rd game there probably gonna do rugrats dirty or somebody dirty since the third one doesn't even include any of the main rugrat charecters only Angelica and Suzy. The trailer did a great job at showing the massive amount of changes from the original without being overwhelming. The meter seems to be for a roman cancel that freezes the foe in the air, most noticeable when Patrick combos SpongeBob. Some characters also flash white during their air dash, so maybe it'll function like an air dodge this time. Lastly, Danny's model is far closer to the original cartoon than before, which makes me happy!
Can't wait to lab this game. The original seemed very "rushed" and not expected to be very popular. This game looks quite solid and I hope the speed of the first game is maintained.

Love seeing that Donatello and Raphael are in this game but my idea was those 2 along with Leonardo and Michelangelo being all 4 in the game. It better happen this time or else. Loved that April O Neil also back and do not leave out the Shredder. So April, Shredder, and all 4 Turtles in Nickelodeon All Star Brawl 2, please make it happen PLEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSSSEEEEEEEEE!

I'm so excited from this game! I'ts cool that Jimmy newtron and the other ninja turtles appear in the game. I also hope to see Plankton and I really wish the developers will get the rights from Nelvana to add Timmy Turner, even as a dlc.

I really hope these guys pull through with a much larger roster this time,this series has a lot of potential. The team knows what theyre doing with presentation now they just have to deliver.Matchmaking was awful in the first game,and there were only like 3 dlc characters,but glad they got the green light for Jimmy Neutron,definitely a deserving All Star of Nickelodeon.Hope the Fairly Odd Parents make it in, they shouldve been in before Danny Phantom,or at least the Crimson Chin,I'd like to see him against Powdered Toast Man😂

I don’t think Cartoon Network will do another platfighter until Multiversus is completely done, and given that they’re planning their full release early 2024, I don’t expect Punchtime Explosion to return

If we are gonna get a CN Vs. Nick Game…it has to be a SF or MVC Styled Game….but yeah…a crossover is begging to happen.
Heck if we are gonna set up a cross-over. Why not have the last character for NASB2 be Finn from Adventure Time as a nod to the pilot airing on Random Cartoons and how Nick almost got the show….impossible…but imagine it.

Story Mode! Like what if this game had a story similar to the Nicktoons Unite series. I wanna see some character interactions, thatd be cool if this game gets DLC.

Throw in some single player modes like the old Single Player Modes Smash Bros Used to have like Break The Targets and Home Run Contest
Throw in some Trophies that are similar to the Trophies from the Old Smash Bros Games
Throw in some Final Smashes
Throw in Some Unlockable Alternate Costumes
That plus include some new narrators in the game (Make it to where Morgan Freeman, Will Smith, And Phantom Strider/Josh Strider are all announcers)!

Is it just me, or do the characters look like they have more moves now too? Like Spongebob at 1:56? Or even Patrick right after? Looking good!
They got some new and improved movesets i can see.
@LuigieGaming456 If you look a little closer at some scenes, there seems to be a new "slime" move you can do in mid-air to lead into another attack. Patrick does it at 1:59

I think after the first one was a bit of a mess but still was the first, I think the second will be much better and since MultiVerses is shut down till next year, Nickelodeon Alls Star Brawl won’t have competition now.

I didn't put much time into the first game, but I'll probably try this out. Hopefully the other Ninja Turtles make it into the game. Timmy Turner should also be in the game so there could be a Jimmy Timmy reunion.
