Curious about the 2-input design. For me, there are a variety of recipes available with the 4 inputs. For example, with a Strat, I like to plug into the High Treble channel low input and jumper the low input of the Normal into the high input of the High Treble. This gives me the top-end harmonic complexity while also regulating transients so that they're not spiky and harsh. Of course humbuckers naturally have softer transients, so a different recipe applies, lol. What do the two inputs on the emulation amp correspond to? Thank you!
Bbbbbut what about the output tube distortion? The sound it makes when pushing the snot out of it?? That squish/sag vowel sound right when you bash a chord?? The vocal quality is why I bought a Plexi type; that definituon that Townshend and Van Halen got. The squish-ping squeeze just enough to give it attitude. Great stuff, George. Perhaps harnessing the full up sound of output tube gain may be a task. Load boxes help with the cause. A true Power Tube Distortion emulation.
I think the Marshall model 1987x 50 watt plexi reissues are great, especially when you master vol. modify....add the carl Martin plexi ranger and you have "the rig"
