Loads of strays are fond of people who are nice to them/feed them etc. They'll sleep near the door, generally hang around. This poor chap could be one such.

That's what happens when you don't treat your dog as a family member. If i let my dog outside alone, street dogs would tear him apart. They are pack animals, can't do much alone other than barking. I've seen a stray male cat do serious damage to my neighbor dog.

It didn't suffer. From the area it bit down on it definitely ended faster than you think, majority of the movement at the end was pretty much just post death movement.

I had a 15 year old Labrador that got jumped on by a mountain lion on our back deck one night years ago. The lab somehow got over on her back with her head up against the back door. The lion had her pinned but couldn’t bite her without getting bit back. That lab let out a moan like she knew she was gonna die. My wife heard it and banged on the door glass. The lion was gone in about a second. The lab had a couple of holes in her and had lost bowel control but went on the live to be 17 years.

Please search up the definition of a predator. Because dogs and cats are both predators. Domesticated dogs don't normally hunt because they don't need to and are taught so. This does not mean they aren't predators.

I had a 15 year old Labrador that got jumped on by a mountain lion on our back deck one night years ago. The lab somehow got over on her back with her head up against the back door. The lion had her pinned but couldn’t bite her without getting bit back. That lab let out a moan like she knew she was gonna die. My wife heard it and banged on the door glass. The lion was gone in about a second. The lab had a couple of holes in her and had lost bowel control but went on the live to be 17 years.
