- The latest edition to the Family our new little Spotted Seal Lynx, He was born on the 1st Aug 2017 and after months of chats with Lydia I decided to surprise her for our 5th anniversary together. I capture the moment she meets her new fur baby.

LOVE THIS!! How cute! I think Zima which is Czech for ‘Winter’ - seeing as you got him in the winter and winter is special for you both! (When you got engaged, when you’ll be married - and when you got this little guy!)

Zima means winter(and cold) in serbian, so that could be a cool name especially when he is a snow bengal boy, and Lumi means snow. So winter and snow fit together :D

I’ve never clicked a video so fast in my life and definitely started crying when Lydia did. The new addition to your home is absolutely beautiful and I can’t wait to see Lumi and her new brother warm to each other! xx

OH ALI! You keep making me cry crocodile fountain dripping tears. You got me crying in the car on the drive home with him. I was simply giddy. And Lydia's reaction was just as you said, priceless. Heart stopping momentous. Mommie meeting her baby boy for the first time sent happy chills through me. Having Carrie there was so special! Welcome home baby boy! So happy for you Lydia! (And of course, all ten of us "other" women.) oh please laugh at that!
The first look at that suit...didn't disappoint. The luxurious fabric sheen was evident. The stitching, buttons, the waist buckle, hem and then the label inside the shirt. Dean Anderson Totally gets you. And more importantly YOU GET HIM and his craft. Really great to see you appreciate and express your gratitude for his hours of artistry labor. You have truly found your tailor. You are going to stun your bride Ali! And all the rest of us!

Lydia Elise Millen finding the perfect name is hard isn’t it :( ! I like “Mo” (momo) as well for pets, or ipo (sweetheart in polynesian language), Maru (gentle in polynesian language) 😊

Bora - means 'snow' in Albanian
Zima - means 'winter' in Russian
Visi - means 'five' in Finnish, as he was a 5th anniversary gift :)

He's so beautiful! I was thinking of the name Topaz. It's a gemstone which is gold/yellow in colour, like his markings and is associated with the month of November - so works with your anniversary/and when you got him.

The new kitten is absolutely beautiful, he makes a stunning duo with the O.G Lumi! As for name suggestions, maybe a name beginning with 'A' would be nice for the flow in your family? The two ladies of the house 'L' & two boys 'A'...

I'm a fashion merchandising and design major, and am just learning to construct a button down, so it is so cool to see such a nice garment. Hopefully one day I'll be able to make something that nice 😂 but I will say that it looks incredibly well made and that fabric is stunning

My husband surprised me with both my kitty's and they wer the best surprises ever! The first suprise was for my birthday and I swear I reacted just like Lydia! This type of gift is beyond all gifts because they give every day! So sweet, thank you for sharing your surprise it gave me many great flashbacks to mine!

Ali, I am just new to your vlog channel. First, I want to say that from reading the comments. It seems you lost your little baby boy, and I am very sorry. The other is viewing your vlogs then, and now, in 2024, how much polish, maturity and confidence you have gained, like a fine wine 🍷. Very proud of the both of you. And that grey window pane suit is killer and I hope you didn't ever get rid of it.
Hi Ali. I successfully introduced my older cat to a kitten. You need to really take your time with it. Keep the kitten in it’s own room and let it get used to that room and grow in confidence. Let Lumi sniff him through the door for several days. Don’t let them see one another at all. Then encourage them to eat their food on either side of the door together. This way they will know they are not a threat to one another. You can then begin to open the door slightly so they can see one another. They will probably dislike this initially. Then start introducing the kitten to the rest of the house and let Lumi go in his room. Then eventually let the kitten roam. Lumi will assert her dominance. Our two are great now! Sounds like Lydia knows what to do! Look forward to watching the progress 😸 Oh and my name suggestion is Blizzard!

Such a sweet moment to see, I cried watching Lydia’s response. My husband and I just recently went through the same process - with two grown (rescue) cats, the added work is well worth it.

The reaction from Lydia was so so sweet. As a Forever Mom to kitties I can say it is totally normal for newly introduced kitties to take a bit of time before they realize they can be friends not foes. You are doing everything smart and thoughtfully. 👍 to your parenting 😀

I just couldn't wait for Lydia to fully show your new fur baby in her video,so I decided to take a little peak at yours and I'm so glad I did! I have a cat as well and a few years ago I also received him as a surprise gift for my birthday! It was in the exact same way! I came home without knowing anything and I saw adorable kitten running around my place! My reaction was just the same. I often think of this day with a big smile on my face when I look at him and it is certainly one of the most amazing memories in my life!
Now, watching this video, it's seemed liked I took a time machine and I looked at myself from aside and not just recreated the memory in my head! It literally made me cry together with Lydia! Tears of wonderful joy and you shouldn't even question whether you did everything right, this surprise gift is absolutely amazing!🌞

To keep with the Finnish theme, and since your baby has red on his nose, I was thinking you could name him Tuli which means fire, light... or liekki [also means fire, flame] or Valkea [light, fire]. Hope the cats get along and become one happy family.

So cute !! I've heard it's good to have two litter boxes (1 per cat ) and two food bowls as well as two beds when you introduce a new member. Cats are very territorial so they love having their own things/space. I'm sure he will love his new home !!!
I’m glad you guys are taking your time with introducing your new baby. My boyfriend and i had a multiple day process with introducing our new kitten to our other cat and now they’re literally in love and absolutely the best of friends ❤️

I literally cried when Lydia saw the kitten... I was not ready for that at all. I want a kitty so badly but I have a German Rottweiler so I am not sure how that will work. Continued blessings to you both!!!

If you want to keep with the theme of Finnish names, then I would suggest Valo (=light, eg sunlight) or Halla (frost) :) . Other cute ones could be Pilvi (cloud), Sumu (haze/mist) or Tuuli (wind). The other cool names we give to our pets might sound a bit harsh with all the R's: Myrsky (storm), Pyry (snowstorm).

You have great suggestions for the name! As my name is Tuuli so my vote goes for that one, naturally ;) Maybe Tuisku (means also snowstorm and has a little playfulness in it, which I think is fitting for his character) could be an option.
