Peter says: I love the Springboks and rugby is one of my favourite sports. Although as a sports journalist I am supposed to remain neutral, I always like to point out that before I became a professional, I was just a big fan! I hold a Masters Degree in International Journalism so at least you know I should be able to ask a good question or two! My dream is to do this TH-cam Channel permanently. Toks is n legende met Persoonlikheid! groete uit Lima Peru!
Lyk my ons kyk dieselfde programme op TH-cam, Tosca! Wat ons Suid-Afrikaners in die verte darem doen as ons terugverlang. Mooi loop!
Laubscher and Toks were huge together 😃👍🏻. Francois Pienaar should have played another 50 games for SA. Wiese more too
Monsters in that Province front row!
100% agree with you. A very powerful front row .
Kobus Wiese should have played many more tests . At the time I was angry about both the points you raised. Coaches make fg stupid decisions.
Great interview as always Peter! Hope 2024 is treating you well so far and that it would be a great one! Love the story of how Toks and Kobus Wiese reacted to Mike Catt's comments before that England test in 95.
Thanks as always for the support, Willie. A very happy new year to you too and I hope 2024 turns out to be the best year ever!
Toks shared many great stories in this interview. I'm so happy I could get him on!
Happy New year chief, I missed a few of these clips as the holidays got the best of me , lots of catching up to do , as always great contents
I really never knew Toks but it’s a good connection to the Toks and Chops , which I have heard of but but nice to have gotten to know the man better. Looks like one of those good players who came at a time when props were not short or supply, hence only 7 caps
Didn’t help that there were some chops and changes in the team and coaching setup
And a very happy new year to you too, buddy! Thank you as always for the support.
He was indeed a very good player but there were a lot of very good props around at the time, not least of which was Os Du Randt!
Toks and Tommie Laubscher were very impressive scrummaging together. They should have played many more times together. I remember them destroying England at Twickenham
Great props for sure! Pity we didn't see more of them together but don't forget Toks was competing with Os for the number 1 jersey.
Canterbury
Quite right, Ben!
