      When dear Harsha gives this kind of review for the year, it’s saddening to see his voice is sold and lost in translation. There was no mention of Shami, who was the best player in last year in my POV. Currently we live in a cricketing world with only handful of good cricketers, India with so much of financial strength is moving ahead aggressively to make more money with more IPLs and Test cricket is loosing its charm. Sigh!

    The biggest issue with social media is that it has given cowardly toxic individuals this false sense of confidence to say whatever they want, without the fear of getting punched in the face. Wise words Harsha sir, you're a beacon of light in a world that seems to be forever dimming as of late.

    Sorry mate, If IPL is very important, then you have your priorities completely wrong. Starc and many like him didn't play IPL to keep themselves ready for National duties and they did so for many years, not just few games or one season.
    IPL has given great opportunities to youngsters but has also tied a hard noose around senior players that they just couldn't leave IPL, even for ONE SEASON in 15 YEARS. That is where you lost the crux of winning Major titles.
    Sorry mate, 15 years of IPL couldn't fetch a single T20 trophy for India. You got your priorities wrong.
    Finally, India just don't know how to beat Australia in knock out games, it was the same story back in 2003 with a star studded line up, and it is the same story now in 2023. You keep saying we learn from our mistakes, but the fact of the matter is that You haven't learnt a "Damn Thing" about your nemesis called "Australia".
    Don't find excuses, one bad hour, one had session, one bad game, etc etc. On the "Judgement Day" - Even one second matters. Make it count.

    There is one cricketer from UAE name Rohan Mustafa. I have seen him enough in there domestic cricket. He is 35 years old but could be a fantastic all-round asset for any IPL team. The way he plays is fantastic. Could be a very good T20 or t10 player.

    2023 was a tight slap on BCCI’s and Team India’s face. Humiliating losses at the WCT championship game and ODI World Cup destroyed the euphoria and excitement generated by IPL and other irrelevant bilateral series victories and exposed the Indian team as frauds and chokers. While many players set individual records that can be thrown into a gutter, collectively they garnered nothing but ignominy, insults and humiliation. Let us hope 2023 has taught the arrogant management and players to be humble, play as a team and win championships.

      Who isn't giving credit to Australia?? They know how to win big days, they outplayed us completely and deserved to win it. But this was Indian cricket's review of the year, not the World Cup's, so he talked from ICT point of view.

    • @ICT0708
      @ICT0708 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      And about the test rankings. Rankings aren't decided based on 1 match. We may go on a downhill from here, then obviously our ranking will come down.
      But ICT is one of the few teams which compete everywhere. Australia, England, SA get thrashed when they come to India. India competes and wins there. We won 2 Aus away series, drew a 5 match series 2-2 in England. At home we never lose. We have played 2 WTC finals which shows our consistency. Why don't we deserve to be no 1?

    I'll put it this way, in cricket the contention for winning a icc multination tournament revolves around 6-7 countries. India not able to win any icc tournament for the last 10 years, despite having all the facilities in the world for the players, is rather amusing.

    • @sujithsantosh3101
      @sujithsantosh3101 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Exactly, thats what Vaughan said, this team of ours is a massively underperforming side particularly when it matters most. I still cant digest how India batted in that wcup final like they were timid as a batting group, yes the pitch was slow and a used one but they had no answers. We are the only team to have not won any ICC event in the decade...even Sl, Wi and Pak have won a trophy each and our self proclaimed no.1 team says they have the best bowling lineups battings stalwarts in the team. This is an exact replica of RSA team of 2005-2015...great team but won nothing.

    Why do u feel wtc isnt a big one?? If India would have won it, tone would have been completely different. I seriously feel indian cricket is going no where other than downward

    • @ICT0708
      @ICT0708 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      He didn't say wtc isn't a big one. Infact it's the most precious prize a true cricket lover can get. After 2 years cycle of toiling. He meant to say that he wasn't expecting India to do much in the final because of the conditions in England and the scheduling of ipl. He didn't have a lot of hope from WTC final unlike the odi WC final.

  • @rajrohit897
    @rajrohit897 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

    Respectfully, all these performances were done FOR those trophies. Saying we tend to look at stuff that India didn't do...u are damn right. These bilateral series, these IDBI series, these big test series wins were done so that we win big. We lost 2 big titles..wtc and WC..only important stuff that we won was BGT which again i thought we could have won 3-0 or 4-0.
    U say the team plays under immense expectations..well those expectations are there for a reason. Pakistan are a good side but they didn't think they were fav to win any of these tournaments..same with SA. Why are we favourites then? We see how good this team is and how well they performed consistently.. that's why we have these expectations. So, to think we shud settle with "wow what a year where they dominated everything" is not satisfactory if u don't have trophies to show for

    Sorry to say but Harsha doesnt deserve to be in commentary box. More often he praises Australia Pakistan or any opponents. When India batsman plays quality shots he tells oh it was a bad ball. Other commentators from Pakistan, Australia and New Zealand stas quite when their team is not playing well.
    It is not a bad day as for 10 years we are having bad day. Please skip this lame excuse and fact is we do not have the mindset and we havnt groom our players how to play in big event. Continious bilateral series and IP; format when top 2 team gets 2 chance for the final is all rubbish format.

      world test championship is a horrible tournament, its going to fail. The scheduling and format of 2 tests for a series is bull, and on top of that after a side does well for 2 years winning test matches just putting all of that on the line in just 1 test match is a horrible decision, it should be a series. Not to mention the horrible time it is played in and only being played in England...why just england? why not India, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa....trust me it will be discontinued soon enough.

      In 2021 , he said he "was pained by India's WTC FINALS loss, I thought it was a tournament to be won there" you can see in the 2021 Recap Video
      Bcoz Virat Kohli was the Captain
      Now that Trophy Madman Rohit Sharma is Captain He's blaming the tournament schedule itself 😂
      People call him Harsha Dogle for a Reason😂😂

    I think IPL should increase its window to 5 months from January to may just before the monsoon and add 6 more teams and allow 6 overseas players with 4 teams from each zone...north south east and west

      - All IPL stadiums should be made indoor and air-conditioned; this will allow bowlers to bowl at 150 km/h pace
      - IPL rules should be modified such that bowling teams that produce balls > 148 km/h gets an additional bonus run
      - All Ranji pitches should be tested using a bounce-testing machine; only pitches that can offer Centurion/Perth levels of bounce should be retained
      - BCCI should offer 1-2 crore/match for international fast bowlers to play in Ranji trophy

      @@ayushpradhan7578 some more talented young guys are also there ... like Saim Ayub, Shahnawaz Dhani , nay be some others and you don't want to take Babar Azam, similar kind of player like Steve Smith, Kane Williamson, Joe Root all played here ... like we pick from South Africa and Australia
