I know people what them to finish the fast and furious franchise but I think it about time we watch a bad movie Battlefeild Earth Troll 2 or Disaster artist to continue the room saga!
Y’all should definitely check out the film Overlord, if you haven’t, both Wyatt Russell and Iain De Caestecker are in it, it’s like watching Walker and Fitz’s grandfathers in WW2
Dude, after this they need to watch 3 ninjas, every kid I knew in elementary school had watched that movie and loved it when it came out. Nostalgia googles are real but it was still one of those movies that stuck with me from my childhood.
Dude I used to love this movie as a kid! I would rent it on video all the time. The song at the end was always my favorite, I’d rewind it and sing along.
This movie came out when I was in HS, I was a big Ernie Reyes Jr fan and this was when I fell in love with Kelly Hu, found out she was in her 20's then and she still look good to this day.
years ago when I was in 6th grade, this movie was on tv over the weekend and at school on Monday, everybody was singing Barbara Ann and it was clear we all watched Surf Ninjas that weekend.
My aunt got me this movie for Easter when I was a kid. It unironically became one of my favorite movies. Every once in a while I just get the song stuck in my head.
I love this so much, thank you for reacting to this. The best thing about growing up in the late 80s/90s was the abundance of both good and bad martial arts movies. This one will always be a favorite, and I love that the Reyes family got to create their own thing instead of always stunting/choreographing for others. And as someone who wore out my VHS, I can attest to the fact that the "excuse me, are you open"/"you know the food is good here because, you know, cops" was in the VHS cut because that line always got me. And as a fully grown adult, I still don't have knives.
I got into blackmithing because that seemed the only logical way to obtain them, since money couldn't! Also can attest to the "are you open?" being in from the beginning because for almost two decades me and a couple friends have said that as a joke when we see more than one cop car outside a food place!
@@apollohateshisdayjob9606 Ah, I've taken to using the edge of an old dinglehopper that I'm no longer using for grooming. Would not recommend. Blacksmithing, why didn't I think of that? Brilliant.
We had summer movie passes to Regal Cinemas the year this came out - I can't believe you're reacting to it!!! Also - I second the suggestions for both 3 Ninjas and getting tipsy to nostalgia being a regular thing here.
I probably haven’t seen this movie since I was a kid in the 90’s. I TOTALLY forgot about the Game Gear predicting what would happen next. I remember thinking that was the coolest thing!
Holy shit I love this movie so bad ass grew up with this movie actually recently watched it and enjoyed it, random fact but Zatch is actually Johnny’s (Ernie Reyes Jr) dad in real life 😂 also Kelly Hu still looking stunning to this day 😍
Surf Ninjas used to air on TBS/TNT so much when I was a kid; so this reaction is nostalgia perfection for me. Fun facts, the guy who Zatch fought using only chop sticks is Philip Tan. He's the father of Lewis Tan who played Cole Young in the new Mortal Kombat movie. Kelly Hu is only five years younger than Rob Schneider and she still looks incredible! I hope at some point you guys can react to another 90s cheesy martial arts/video game movie, Double Dragon. It's a total guilty pleasure but Mark Dacascos (Giyera from Agents of Shield, John Wick 3 and Wu Assassins) and Robert Patrick are good in it. There's also so much fun wackiness in it that needs to be seen.
Tone Loc had a successful music career, was the main character in the animated film Bebe's Kids, and also voiced the lizard dude in Ferngully the Last Rainforest....in case you you're looking for more Time-wimey Weekend Watches lol
I did not expect to see someone react to this film, this is awesome. I remember first watching it because it “the pizza guy” from Teenage Mutant Turtles 2 was in it.
My buddies and I, even in high school and college, would put this on when we would get together and quote the heck out of this movie. It's not great but we loved it and it always brings back good memories.
The boat coming from Europe I think was a joke that the youngest kid sucks at geography. (And you bring it up later.lol) Also China White? She’s Deathstrike in X2… lol Also, Zach is Ernie Reyes Sr. and you can tell he trained his son.
I've never actually seen this movie, but there was a trailer for it on the VHS for one of the live action Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movies (Secret of the Ooze I think), so I still know some of the lines by heart, given how many times I watched those movies as a kid.
Drinks and funny movies = great Blind Wave reactions. How did they not recognize Tone Loc from Blank Check? 😂 (his raspy voice is distinct, and he also voiced C Bear from "C Bear and Jamal", "FernGully" and "Bebe's Kids"). In some sequences, the fighting in this movie reminds me of TMTN 2: Secret of the Ooze, I can sense Keno's influence there and here. I had a Sega Game Gear back in the '90s and Rick is correct; you burn through so many batteries with that thing mainly due to it having a back-lit screen powered. Ahead of its time, at the time. Idk why but in the '90s and early 2000s they always made Black rappers pay cops or detectives. Kelly Hu was one of my crushes as a kid, she still looks great now.
God I remember watching this movie as a kid. Thought it was the coolest thing. Now watching it, its just a spoof of other Ninja movie that could of been. Still funny. Love Ernie Reyes Jr.

@@ducksauce9187 from what I understand, it was a bunch of butthurt patrons who didn't agree with a crew pick
22 Jump Street.
watching bad movies whilst getting tipsy needs to be a continuing series on this channel😂
Can't believe they watched this instead of samurai cop. What a terrible choice.
Excuse me where do you see a BAD movie here?
There is nothing bad about this movie sir.
BAD MOVIE?! Ma'am, you belong to the streets
@@raam726surf ninjas is life. You don’t say that.
Leaving this here in hopes that if I watch this again in the future I remember that Calvin blows my ear drums out at 11:30... lol
After this, they need Aaron to take the rest of them on a Disney original movies marathon! Brink! Johnny Tsunami! Luck of the Irish! All of em lol
You just flashed me back to some of the best parts of my childhood.
But this isn’t a DCOM…..
This made me think of Shang Tsung's laugh in Johnny Tsunami, "Hee heeee" lol
OMG YES

Rocky Loves Emily, Rocky Loves Emily.
OMG YES
3 Ninjas was such a rip off of Young Dragons, the Kung Fu Kids
DEFINITELY!!! 3 Ninjas Kick Back as well!
@@k3n12ock THAT movie is another all time favorite! Talk about a classic!!
This was one of the funniest reactions, Calvin freaking out is always a win.
The "uncle" in this movie is actually the real life father of the main protagonist. Another amazing martial artist.
Ernie Reyes Sr. & Jr.
@@Batanuhtanah yes indeedy!!
This is my childhood along with 3 Ninjas, The Mighty Ducks, The Sandlot, etc.!
Yeah Blindwave needs to do Mighty Ducks trilogy and follow up with Mighty Ducks: Game Changers on D+.
The sandlot is my movie I love it
FR! This and 3 ninjas i watched repeatedly on VHS lmao
THIS MOVIE WAS MY CHILDHOOD. can’t believe your reacting to it

This movie came out when I was in HS, I was a big Ernie Reyes Jr fan and this was when I fell in love with Kelly Hu, found out she was in her 20's then and she still look good to this day.
Kelly Hu has aged like a fine wine.
years ago when I was in 6th grade, this movie was on tv over the weekend and at school on Monday, everybody was singing Barbara Ann and it was clear we all watched Surf Ninjas that weekend.
That's defenitely one of the movies ever made.
Wait, what?
Yep, it sure is a movie that was made.
One of the best movies that has ninjas, that surf.
Tone Loc was mostly known as a rapper before this. His big hits were Wild Thing and Funky Cold Medina from the late 80s.
Rob Schneider was 29 when this movie came out. Surf Ninjas came out on August 20, 1993. Rob Schneider was born October 31, 1963.
whoa. Forgotten childhood memory unlocked.
I wish drunk blindwave reactions happened more often lmao. Some of my favorite videos. Still not over their reaction to The Room💀

Casting: “Ok, we need to get someone to play an Asian Overlord. Ideas?”
Random dude: “Yo y’all seen Naked Gun? Remember that white dude?”
I probably haven’t seen this movie since I was a kid in the 90’s. I TOTALLY forgot about the Game Gear predicting what would happen next. I remember thinking that was the coolest thing!
I love that Rick had a genuine good time watching this lol, yall should consider Heavy Weights also!
Holy shit I love this movie so bad ass grew up with this movie actually recently watched it and enjoyed it, random fact but Zatch is actually Johnny’s (Ernie Reyes Jr) dad in real life 😂 also Kelly Hu still looking stunning to this day 😍
Holy, I loved this movie as a kid. It's so bad, but so much fun.
This movie is 28 years old. It came out in 1993.

my childhood right here, I would rent this movie at least once a month. Thanks for the good memories.
9:46 where is this Murluc comming from Eric
19:40 I love that reaction / realization from Calvin
The actors who play Johnny & Zatch are father & son in real life.
Ernie E. Reyes Jr. I met him when I did martial arts when I was younger this shit was awesome to revisit
This is a reaction I didn't know I needed.
This movie was a Classic of my childhood!!!
I am so glad to see any review channel remind us of it, especially all of you!!
Loooove this movie! Classic from my childhood as well. Ernie Reyes Jr is such an underrated martial artist. He's so dope!

This was the movie of my childhood for sure, I rewatched it a couple of months ago and it was a lot shorter of a movie than I thought. XD
This is legit one of my favorite movies of all time.
Idk how I missed this reaction. This was a classic for me while growing up.
I'm watching this again! This is great!
"There's no movie like Surf Ninjas!" - Nostalgia Critic
Also, Schneider didn't play a high schooler. He was a friend of the dads who lived at their house.
false iggy is suppose to be johnnys best friend from highschool both he and ernie are playing highschool kids when they are both over 20 in this movie
Idk what y’all expected the movie is called “Surf Ninjas”
As a kid I thought this was a better alternative to 3 ninjas
Not done yet but I hope someone mentions that is Ernie Reys Jr and Sr. Dad and son.
i watched this and 3 ninjas SO.MANY.TIMES as a kid
Blind Wave reacting to The Last Dragon would be cool to see one day.
Sho'Nuff!!
I was looking for this comment
Somebody should put AIRPLANE 1980 on the Polls

I would've never watched that movie if they didn't react to it. It has its funny moments but it felt longer than it really was.
This reminds me of 3 ninjas loved that movie as a kid i kept trying to do flips and failing.
This movie was so fun to watch as a kid, watching it as an adult and seeing how bad it was makes it even more funnier
i had the vhs of this movie when i was in middle/high school and loved it lol
This movie is a classic, use to watch this all the time as a kid.
Great to see Ernie Reyez Jr and Sr in the same movie
This is one of my fav movies! OMG!!!
I love this movie...period. PERIODT!

I loved this movie as a kid. Me and my brother had the video game for it too.
loved this movie as a kid in New Zealand, only to find out my current girlfriend from San Francisco used to goto school with Ernie Reyes Jrs sister.
Have you guys reacted to the original live action Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, movies yet?
