She is not depressed, even if she was, (does not matter what she is going through) as an artist she connects to songs she sings. To put emotion behind it and make it efficient as possible :)
It's amazing how one song can sometimes be heard for the first time at just the right moment to bear just the right meaning and relate to something so specific it's uncanny. I love Birdy's voice and I love her songs. Awesome stuff.
