After waiting for what seemed like FOREVER! I have finally received the new Ultra Creamy Tarte Shape Tape! I know that a lot of us were waiting for this hydrating formula, and I’m glad to say that it’s finally here!
The Tarte Shape Tape has been one of my absolute go to concealers since I discovered it when it first launched. However, as many of you are aware, it’s a bit too matte at times. Thats why I’m really excited to give this version a try!

Your skin without foundation is the most gorgeous tone and so flawless! I seriously thought you already had foundation on before you applied it-If I had amazing skin like yours I'd just lightly even it out with a bb cream...lucky!😉
Just got this concealer too and I wear light medium sand in regular shape tape.. my ultra creamy is also a little light/gray under my eyes too! I totally agree with everything you said.

Thank you for mentioning that the shades are a little off from the original. I always find that companies when they reformulate products or have to different types the shades are sometimes a little off. Great tip for online shopping 😁

I wish you would try Trish Mcevoy under eye corrector. I also have a lot of Hyperpigmentation and I really love that product.

I completely agree. As I kept watching the video I was questioning myself. Like I feel like it looks a little gray and I feel like I’ve seen you slay it with the original formula. I see full coverage with the original and I do see the lighter shade. I personally will skip on it. I’ll stick to the original. I believe maybe the lighter shade it’s what causing the grayish. Thanks for another amazing video.

It looks good. I just ordered the travel size on tarte to test out since they had free shipping. I got the same shade as you. Hopefully it works out. Please try the undone concealer sold at Target. I love it to brighten the eye area since it has 3 shades/coverage in the compact.

Thank you so much for saying this about the shade. I watched another review about this, and she said the original shape tape in light medium honey oxidates, and she used medium honey in ultra creamy, and that did NOT oxidate. I was so disappointed bc I ordered the light medium honey for my under eyes. I will be getting a huge gray cast 🥺🥺🥺
Mine has started oxidizing recently also, which is really odd since I never had that problem before when using my original Shape Tape concealers. And it didn't matter that I changed brushes or opened a new bottle. Weird.

@@jyqx I know it's available on ulta on the 14th online and in store. For sephora I'd like to think they'll have it too but they don't carry the original shape tape 😔 so I'd go as far to say just get it at ulta unfortunately

So I thought as I have the Bobbi Brown corrector, I don't need to bother with the Becca one as they are both cream textures. Is Becca any better?

I used 27S for the original shapetape, i picked up 34S for the ultra one and it still lighter than the 27S original
I got it today. I found it less long lasting, less coverage and more creasy but less dry on me.

Have you tried the Kosas concealer?
I’ve seen a few reviews on the Kosas concealer and everyone seems to love it, but none of these people had serious under eye darkness. I think it’s supposed to have medium coverage.
I’m 57 and the Kosas was a no go for me....the ultra creamy shape tape is also a no for me...they both crease heavily....especially the Kosas. I hope this helps you! Have you tried the Revlon PhotoReady Candid concealer? It’s my go to!

i have both. The Pat Mcgrath is tooooo dry for me and it crease badly. But tarte shape tape new version totally looks smooth after 8 hours. I love it！
Pat mcgrath concealer is great too but I honestly think shape tape has a bit more coverage. Some people would agree and some would disagree
I'm happy to know I'm not the only one pat mcgrath didnt work for. It cracked up like the others I dont like
Since you’ve started using the Bobbi Brown corrector more often, which would you say you prefer - this or the Becca? I bought the Becca corrector based on your excellent review/recommendation, and I’m curious how the Bobbi Brown compares, especially because it seems like a matte/non-pearlised finish.
I know you didn’t ask me, but I’ve tried both so I thought I’d respond lol. I like the Becca because it’s not as heavy and is more hydrating. The Bobby brown is thicker, but it does provide a bit more coverage. I know this comment was a while ago, but I hope this can help and is still relevant 😂!
@@mcookie0983 It’s actually still very much relevant - I’ve been using the Becca corrector staunchly for a year-ish now and I love it. Just wish there was a matte version without the microglitter in it, although I know it helps the area look brighter.

I'm hearing fabulous things of bright forecast prep and prime from mac...havent tried yet but it looks amazing for alot of tones so I'm thinking it's a brightener like the becca
If you don’t like the pixi one then try the LA girl one in peach. Not the orange, the peach. It’s got fantastic coverage yet still hydrating enough. I’ve tried the CT one and goodness it’s dry! The BB I find to be more drying too. The becca is definitely really hydrating. I’ve got several correctors and the LA one is literally like £4-5 in the UK and is fantastic. Their whole concealer range is actually pretty good to be fair. Not shape tape good, but it’s definitely got great coverage.
Becca is going out of business! I use the same corrector as you it’s my holy grail 😭 are you going to stock up or is that pointless/have you found something comparable?

Nars is quite good you could probably try testers for both before buying anything.
Thank you... You saved me some money. I was tempted to try this, but still have a lot of the Pat MacGrath left. At least through my screen - this does not give you sufficient coverage. Especially your area to my left has dark circles peeking through. However this is my perennial problem also. But no.... this one is not the solution either. This concealer did not work totally, in my opinion.
Do you prefer the Bobbi brown corrector or becca?
I like them both. Just reach for one over the other depending on what concealer I’m working with.
I’m also a dark circle girl... I love love love Becca for brightening but find Bobbi is more versatile, lots of shades for various skin tones. I sometimes use both together, like if I haven’t slept- I’ll take a tiny brush and apply Becca to deeper shadows, pat out with finger. Bobbi makes the circles disappear, Becca really wakes your eyes up. I can wear Becca alone on no makeup days. They’re both amazing but IMO Bobbi is the gold standard. Mary Kay actually makes a decent one too, but not like Bobbi. Like Sarah said, I will use different options for different concealers, but I’m going on over ten years with correctors- and I always find myself reaching for that Bobbi. Sorry to add my two cents 😂. Bobbi & Becca are better than the rest on the market, I think.

@@Jashleya199 Yes I have tried Charlotte’s and didn’t care for it. Bobbi is probably the best on the market... it’s been around sooo long. What’s your skin coloring and dark circle situation like? I’m very fair with blue purple circles. I use Bobbi in Bisque. It’s so, so good for that. It boosts coverage of concealer on top. It just makes the circles totally disappear and it’s very natural. I remember the first time I used it, back in 2010.. I got a job at Nordstrom and the other girls put the corrector on me and I nearly fainted when I saw how well it worked.

I haven’t found a cheaper alternative...yet 😏 But, there are other correctors that are also really good.
What other ones are there
The Bobbi brown one that I use in this video, Charlotte Tilbury has a great corrector, and Live Tinted. I’m also testing out a few new drugstore ones, so stay tuned for that.
Tarte CC corrector cream was recommended to me by an Ulta associate when i was looking for the Becca one and I love it. $25

Omg girl...your undereyes are so gray with that shade and it was super obvious from first glance on camera...that's not your color! You gotta stick with the honey shades and not the yellow ones
