It is incredibly unsafe to fire. Who knows if there's a tiny spec of rust inside the barrell, or the cylinder isn't perfectly aligned ?? It may blow up. Not to mention the metal is probably too weak after all those years and, even if it was restored to a tee, it may end up blowing up or being severely deformed after a couple shots.

That came out so so nice, I love it. You can tell it won't fire a projectile in its current condition due to the excessive gap between the firing pin and the cylinder. But also the cylinder doesn't rotate as it should after it's dry fire test. Regardless of that, Seriously FANTASTIC 😎😎👍
Great restoration! Congratulations, it looks great. You have a lot of patience and skill to take that piece of history from where it was to what it is today. Excellent job!

Excellent restoration! This is exactly what Alec should've used.
Unbelievable I would not have believed that it could be repaired. Well done.
I have never seen anything like this. Truly AMAZING!!!
An incredible combination of great tools, human patience, skill, knowledge and a passion for perfection. I'm glad there are people in the world possessing all of those traits. This might sound a bit maudlin but it gives me faith in humanity. Thanks!
The dedication to see it through and the faith in ones own talents is admirable in this day and age with people lacking the attention and patience most wanting instant reward for very little effort your skill level is a prime example that anything is achievable by bringing this piece literally back from an almost certain grave! Excellent work! job well done is an understatement I just hope this encourages more people to learn.
I agree totally!….very well said.
thanks

Why the hell is this so satisfying to watch?! 😅
I have watched other restoration on TH-cam but none to this extent, it looked hopeless I figured this would be a clean and protect from further corrosion. Excellent Workmanship!
This is not gun restoration- this is a new form of art and you are the Master Craftsman !!!
I don’t think “my mechanics” can do what you just did and he’s the goat. Amazing
Wow incredible your one in a billion great job 140 years just imagine the history that gun could maybe have. Original owner long gone
That's the best refinishing of a rusty old post I've seen on the internet 👌
Wow! Incredible restoration of this gun. You did a fantastic job. True Craftsman 😊
I really enjoyed watching you turn a hunk on rust into a very beautiful gun. Thanks for sharing your video with us. Looking forward to seeing your next one. 😊
Take care and stay warm
Greetings from Fairfield California USA
Thank you friend!
You like Fainor in JJR Tolkin 👍🏻
Must admit, you turned a rusted hunk of scrap iron into a respectable propgun.
I loved every "weilding segment", it fucking mesmerized me, I became an addict for each scene of the weilding segment. The switch from normal lighting to "green neon glowball" inside Black lighting, switched on my "Get Hi Mode", frfr😂😂😂😂😂Great editing 😊😊😊😊
This is really fascinating how this gun could be brought back to basically its original condition from wheras it was! Definitely a labor of love!
I'm blown away and then some. Doesn't matter what I am or any of the other commentary. That's amazing! An excellent parallel Frankenstien story. The best I've EVER SEEN!
The level of skill needed to accomplish this would be mind blowing, nice work.
I never thought it would actually function, you did a fantastic job.👍🏻👍🏻
I think it's a Belgian Bulldog. There are a few variations of it but there is one variation that looks amazingly like the one in the video
Outstanding work, your attention to detail is impeccable.
Wow...true Craftsman ..gives me hope for grandpas old squirrel 22
There is something very special and sacred about this that makes sense to us all. I can't exactly sum it up, but there is important meaning to this work and it should continue.
Wow. Incredible. What a wonderful God-given talent you have!
Truly a master of the craft. I do not think there are many people who dare to take on such a challenge. well done.
Absolutely incredible skill and artistry exhibited by the restorer of that rusted pistol.
I wish i had the patience of this guy... unbelievable
I have never seen anything like this in my life. This fellow has refined precision and ability that are outside anything that I could ever have imagined.
Masterpiece!!!! Great Job!!! I am pretty sure that this is a Hopkins & Allen Model No. 6 Double-Action Revolver Handgun
Hopkins and Allen has a loading cut out, this one has a loading gate. The cylinder flutes go to the end of the cylinder on H&A this one looks more like the belgian revolvers or the webley
I was thinking it looked French.
That was the greatest gun restoration I've ever seen
You are a master craftsman. Eye for detail and super human patience 😅 .
Far out! You justify some of the 'rescue from the grave' restores that I sometimes do.
Thanks!
Could definitely be wrong but it looks like a colt model 1877 double action either a lightning (.38 cal) or the thunder (.41 cal) they have a unique handle mount.
Are their Russian equivalents? Curious.
There is one thats close, M1895 Nagant. Handle is similar, but that gun is a seven shot revolver, this one is a six shooter.
Some guys ! Impressive focus, skill and patience, big surprise is right. I could never have imagined and glad to see this.
Amazing patience and skill involved to produce this level of restoration work.
Although the integrity of the metal will not be as sound as the original, it will still make a valuable collector's item
Incredible workmanship
Amazing how many moving parts on that thing. Beautiful job on that British classic!
Always throughly enjoyed👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thank you friend!
How did an American revolver become a British classic ?
The model is the British Bulldog. I have two of them. One made in Belgium and the other made in the USA. Both say British Bulldog on them.@@unboostedpueeblood
So easy on the eye ! It was a real pleasure to watch the operation of this beautiful mechanism ! Thanks ! Your videos keep getting better.
That's just amazing! I didn't give it a chance. Great job. Thx for the great video. I really enjoyed it.
One of the most involved and surgical restorations I've ever seen
That was fabrication with a bit of restoration! Amazing!!
This is very similar to a British revolver named the BULLDOG !! Must be about the best restoration I have seen! Wasn't even sure it was the same gun for a while!!!
Magnificent Restoration X10.
One of the bravest things I have seen.
I would not even think about attempting what you have done..
Well done
