What I really loved is you intertwining your personal routines into this talk. This helps massive to relate! Thanks for another gem Brian! You finally putting me on the Autopilot of Success :D
Hi Brian. Brilliant video. I am new to your channel and somehow fell upon your video by googling The War of Art by Steven Pressfield which was suggested to me by my fitness/life coach Mario Tomic. Very grateful to him for his referral. I started watching more of your videos which have/is helping me hugely. I am addicted! Thank you. Helen
Small hinges swing big doors right? When you change how you see the world, the whole world changes. Sometimes I'm amazed today at how I use to look at the world just a year ago. I got to stop checking my email first thing. I've heard you beat this dead horse to death and I'm going to do it. Thanks for the reminder. The Basal Ganglia is some powerful stuff, I've been leveraging it every since Mini Habits, a lot of what I do does me in the sense there is such a strong pull on me until I get it done. The Director idea is huge. I discovered that it use to take me a lot of time noticing when I wasn't listening to the Director and many times I wasn't even aware that I had one. Nowadays, I pretty aware when the Director was talking to me and I chose to ignore her. SYM - See Your Mind. Thanks Brian
My key takeaway was to ultimately have Basal Gangua put things on auto pilot for me, thus I do less thinking and use less brain power to actually do the work
I am so glad I found your amazing channel Brian. I really appreciate all the free value you put out there for the world. I plan on signing up for your membership program once I finally find a job haha.
+WPWithTom Thank you so much!! Connect with Zak at brianjohnson.me and he'll hook you up until you can afford the goodness--hopefully we'll be able to help with the search, etc. Let's do this!
Great Video Brian! I just started watching your video's and can already notice a big difference in my life. When you talk about e-mail and texting, would you also add Facebook to this list? I constantly find myself scrolling through my Facebook throughout the day when I have a few free minutes. I think it's turned into a bad habit and a huge waist of time. But I justify it by telling myself, "well I've only got a few minutes to spare anyways so what else am I going to do?" Any thoughts or suggestions on this? Thank's for all your work Brian, it's changing my life!
Excellent videos Brian! A bit of a nerdy question, but how do you manage to get such a clear and bright image of the board? Is this the camera or you do a lot of editing? Thank you, inspiring as always.
+Noah Y.P he probably gets a thousand a day. And, if applying Cal Newport's advice, ignores it in favour of more important activities and deep work that move him forward!
I love the simple, yet profound "Name it to Tame it" concept. Thanks again for sharing, Brian.
+Diana Haroldsen Yes love that one, too! Thanks, Diana!
