CrashYitsu He did make them up though, just in case you thought that those are the actual quotes.. For example 3:06 The vox doesn't say "The whores", but "You lose!", 3:19 not "Atari fucks" but actually "Atari vox" etc. Sry, but it's my OCD kicking in again =)

Hey Mark, ever use the Intellivision voice module. Pretty similar, but contemporary to the system. It plugs into the cartridge port and has a tiny built in speaker to handle the voices. The only compatible game I have for it is B-17 Bomber, what a treat. So advanced!

Mark needs more games that work with this. This thing is actually pretty cool, I didn't know it existing, only Atari game I knew of supporting voice was Quadrun.
One of the most awesome inventions in history.I could listen to that thing talk all day.
In 30 years i'll develop an accesory for this that turns the random robotic voice into Mark's reverberated voice.

The Atari Vox hates you, at least when playing Juno First it seems.
Really though, cool concept. It'd be a pain for me to get it to work because I still use the coax connector with my system. It's something to consider if I ever A\V mod my 2600 though.

If it said "You are pissed" there, than this thing is much more accurate in reading human reaction than the Kinect. lol

Berzerk Voice Enhanced was made 13 years ago, long before the Atarivox existed, so the voices are indeed played directly by the game. They also take up about 75% of the ROM space; digitized audio is expensive to do on the Atari.

I'm surprised there isn't a game save dongle/device for mega drive/genesis.
you can always get an old DJ mixer with a stereo/mono switch.. that way you can input both signals and still hear it on both speakers.. to be honest some mixers were dirt cheap when new, so now you might find them for like 30 bucks or less shipped . Don't be stupid to think a simple Y cable will work.. a Y cable works for dividing outputs.. not summing inputs (like a lot of dumb people thinks) so you will only get one source at a time, and maybe some inverted phase noise from the other...
