I could quite happily ride an Aprilia for the rest of my life and nothing else. Sold my RSV4 RF and regretted it ever since, so my next bike(i've had a break for a few years and enjoyed the warmth of a car during the winters for a change) is definitely either gonna be an early RSV4 or a gen 2 RSV1000R
I have one of these. Cheapest bike i own in the garage but its my favorite. Id sell the other bikes before i sold my RSV. They are an incredible machine. Sometimes I go out to the garage just to look at it. Only thing I would disagree with mate.... is the comment about it being comfortable :D it kicks the sh!t out of me every time im on it.
Uncomfortable really oh...well it maybe the suspenset up and controls or it's just that we are all different physically.... there are certain bikes that we find comfortable than others ....I think my R1 is the most Uncomfortable bike I have
@@PXCMEDIA Could just be im a big wimp also. interested to hear you say your clutch is nice and soft. Mine is like a rock, Town traffic is a killer. I already have the clutch upgrade done also. I did make some changes to the suspension last season - I set it all back to factory and it did make a huge difference. The suspension is actually working now. Last guy that owned it must have been 40stone.
@the_grumpybiker do you have standard lever on...also where its positioned so you have good leverage my Mille has a heavier clutch so I will upgrade it to the same master but I do have a strong grip with all the motocross I do that helps... but sometimes not every bike suits the rider even though we like the bike
@@PXCMEDIA ASV levers on it mate. Full length not the stupid stubby things. Raced MX myself for years mate, ive never felt arm pump like it after a day in traffic on the RSV :D. I might strip the clutch slave down, clean it all and drain it as well. I need to do the for seals on it anyway.
@the_grumpybiker ah ours had ASV levers on when we got it... but I have not yet removed the clutch cover on ours to see if there are any upgrades inside... I do find that with the standard lever the angle of the finger grip is a good shape to provide torque and the angle that the piston pushrod that goes into the master works it spot on...and try pointing the lever down more so your arm and wrist and hands are aligned to help blood flow... also move the master as close as possible towards the top yoke so you get full leverage on the lever.... but I haven't had a go on another Gen 2 to compare
Good lord that bike is beautiful. Living room art for sure.
It is yes .....maybe I will put it in the dining room today 🤔
I love my rsv and you are so accurate with your review compared to my own findings over the years...brilliant
Thank you it has to be the most reliable and exciting bike we have ever owned
I’ve had some lovely Bikes over my 40 years riding but I’ve stuck with this beauty for many years now because it suits me and my riding style
@Skon1965 yeh and its awesome during the cooler seasons when the heat from the silencers keep your legs warm
Had mine for a couple of years, always wanted one absolutely love it. Great review and commentary, I must visit Barnsley now! 👍🏻
Oh, it's a good old place is Barnsley.... better in the summer, though....
Welcome back, mate !! 🎉 It's an absolutely stunning bike!! You need to sort out the speedo keeps getting condensation on it 😂😂😂
Haha yes it does that when I reach 30mph maybe it's a common fault 🤔
