They do make a base plastic despair. But the bleak is an amazing putter. I’m 98% doomsday in my bag for the past year or so? Great to see it getting popular.
I have 6 doomsday discs but out of what you've thrown i have the Dystopia, blackout and scope and I love them all! My farthest hole in was with a scope with a slight Annie at about 120 feet. The Blackout is really good at gliding and distance and the Dystopia is great for distance as well. Great video, go Doomsday!
To answer your question, they do make the Despair in Ration plastic (our baseline plastic). I'm on Team Doomsday so if you have any questions, let me know.
I hope we can send you each of our putters (Bleak, Gloom, and Rot). Between those three, I'm sure you will find one you like.

I caught a glimpse of the side profile of the Apocalypse and my Spidey sense tingled.
It's exactly how you would imagine the most overstable disc on the planet would be shaped!
Coolest disc golf company out there! And so aptly named for America's current existential crisis and general feeling of doom as a Damocles hangs over the land.
I really really love the Flat Earth. Give that disc a shot for slow pace straight shots.
The flat earth is my absolute favorite doomsday disc.
Best midrange for distance. The despair is the best for flip up straight to turnovers.
I love the bleak. It’s my favorite putter bye far.
I have the dystopia in almost every color except the new black ones. The blue and white are a little more overstable than the others, they have a slightly higher parting line. The red and purple ones are straighter, some places have the flight numbers at -1 2 and I think thats right.
I enjoyed the doomsday discs quite a bit. They definitely have some fun discs...you need to get your hands on the Weapon of Max Distance...its called a 16 speed I believe and it absolutely bombs
