Such a great topic! I don’t have any social media, and I never have. It’s just not for me, and I don’t feel my personality type would do well with it. I don’t consider TH-cam to be social media, but maybe I’m wrong about that. I’m 57, but I don’t think it’s an age thing (the not wanting social media), because plenty of people my age and older love their social media. To not participate, was a “me” thing. But, I still found this video helpful in other ways and, yes, a very interesting topic. Edited to add that I think this is a good topic for increasing self-care for sure! And, sometimes I feel not having social media has held me back from learning certain things like how to do “DMs”, how to directly reply to a comment that is up higher, etc., not knowing certain “new words” like “sprints”. To me sprinting is running fast for a short distance and now it has a different use. I don’t even know all of the things I do not know😂😂. Oh well.
This is such a beneficial video. I make lists all the time, so helpful. I'm old LOL (75) so I didn't grow up with social media. I came to Facebook back in 2007 or 08 but closed my account 3 years ago. I keep IG to share my poetry and art but am seriously thinking of closing the account and opening a bookstagram. I'm a physical book reader and being retired I have lots of time to read. One thing that makes me aware of how much time I spend on my phone is every Sunday my phone tells me the my average time each day that week---eye opening.
Ughhhh I know, it’s Sunday rn and my phone just told me and I’m like 🫠 urg lol but I think it counts everything I do on my phone and some of that would be reading. Happy retirement, what a wonderful way to spend it reading books and connecting with other readers. I didn’t know you were a poet 😊 also, out of all social media I recommend Bookstagram (booktube first of course 😉)
