The whole album is about jay z’s cheating😭 The concept goes through the stages of grief: Intuition, Denial, Anger, Apathy, Emptiness, Accountability, Reformation, Forgiveness, Resurrection, Hope, Redemption. Also it’s a visual album, and a lot of the story carries out through the music videos. The interlude parts in the formation lyrics are from the music video. Great reaction😋

She did a soundtrack to the newer version of the Lion King called the Gift.
Listen to it, and also watch the making of it.
She went to different countries in Africa to work with different artists.
She also did an artistic movie based on an African imagined version of the Lion King movie, using her soundtrack. It's called Black is King.
Btw, Jay Z did a response album after this called 4:44.
The third album they did together ends the trilogy story. It's called Everything is Love.

I think you should listen to her latest album, cowboy carter, which is act 2 for renaissance. her latest two albums are an act 1 and act 2 projects that are made to recclaim BLACK genres made by BLACK people. Such as dance and Ballroom music or Country itself. cowboy carter is a country based album, but you would be surprised of how many twists and genres the album has. And those are just the street hits, not even the album cuts like Rather Die Young and Start Over. And don’t forget the deluxe with Dance for You.
