My apologies but your video has me rollin I am laughing my butt off I needed that because I am literally following your your instructions your instructions and doing this at the same time and I'm getting frustrated a bit myself and my children are interrupting me but this was great oh my guard and I am so glad that it didn't get bleeped out cut message I appreciate it.
If you are looking fro the correct way to remove the radio, then ; Yes thee screw behind the dash light dimmer and the bottom screw must be removed. But the important screw that holds the sheath of the temperature control down, must be removed. The center wire to the control valve must be slipped off. This will allow the center dash with controls, to move towards you. The radio is now accessible. In order to remove this "key" screw, sheath hold down screw, for me it was necessary to remove the front seat, 4 bolts. This was the only way for me to craw under the dash, far enough.
Thanks for the vid. I have a 2000 as well and was thinking about upgrading the radio. Not sure if I want to tackle it yet, but its good to know how to take it apart now. I would have killed myself trying to find those screws.

You could have saved yourself some trouble by first disconnecting the connectors to the climate controls. In fact, that's all you really need to do to be able to move the bezel enough to work on the radio. That's a mess of electrical tape in there--maybe that was a previous owner. Better to get the appropriate adapter connectors for the radio and solder those instead of chancing messing up the car wiring--that may have been your issue, not the radio itself. Those Hyundai radios were actually pretty good--. I tried a name brand aftermarket and the reception wasn't as good. I actually put a double DIN unit in here from a Hyundai Azera--it has a CD and CASSETTE and plays MP3s. Needed adapters for radio end and car end--soldered those together, and it works perfectly. I had to grind out the plastic in the bezel to accommodate it. It's too bad my bezel cracked down around the cupholder--what an awful design that was, but it was early in cup holder development. Hard to find these bezels today.

Jesus I love that cat
Ik same he died last year 😫😞
You mentioned the issue with AC and cruze control mixed up. What was the fix for that...?
by unplugging the cruise control button and switch the plug from the ac controller because the plugs are the same which is pretty easy to mix up
Thx....
I fucking died when you took the stock unit out lol
