This channel was so dope to me. I went to IAR in Manhattan back in the late '90s like 98. Also was cutting records using cracked Waves Mercury plugins as a kid. It's crazy to see how far engineering has come and that there's an actual community of brothers out there talking like this. Back in 97 98 99 we didn't have anything like this around.. lately have been having the itch to get back into producing and came upon y'all's content great work.

Low key I believe Reason be the most slept on, I rarely see anyone really throwing round the name or speaking on them. But they got some the craziest soft synths and midi players out there. Highly recommend checking out objekt and friktion (might’ve butchered the spelling) or the midi chord maker, bass line generator, or other midi players that be crazy intuitive! Much love y’all and merry Christmas thank you for y’all’s videos 🙏🏼🔥🔥

Okay so first I want to give a shout out and say thank you to the my audio nerds podcast for just being genuine and creating this space for producers and Engineers alike. Me being a producer myself and also musician it's a lonely world out here when you come in contact with people, artists, enthusiasts who don't speak the language that we speak and y'all have created a platform to make that music/producer world more inclusive and not so lonely! Y'all have had a hell of a year and even though funds haven't been correct I will become a paying member by the first of the year. From episode 1 I was hooked but I was a fan of Hmd prior to the introduction to the pod so I've been around for a while and man.... y'all got something special. Look forward to the next year with ya'll and salute! 💯 💯 💯

Yes on the piano roll for Pro Tools man!!!
I’ve tried the piano roll from Logic Pro, Cubase, Reaper and Studio One and lately Ableton and I want it to be that fast!
There are ways to make it fast inside Pro Tools but there’s something about editing on other piano rolls that make it interesting and fast.
Also the way Pro Tools handles articulations and keyswitches could use some reshaping as well.

For me, its not similar at all. Yea, they have a setting where you can use Protools shortcuts in Studio One, but thats just about it.
As an engineer/artist, Studio One is just light years ahead imo. The workflow is not really comparable. Though, it took me a couple weeks to get adjusted. In essence, all DAWs work the same. So I feel like once you learn one DAW, you can move to another within a few weeks (if that).

@@HelpMeDevvon Well the thing about that conclusion is a top 40 song by Gunna - FukUMean was produced in Reason Studios so I mean 🤔 it’s clearly impactful in some manner. But I can see the popularity side of this discussion. But maybe the scope you are seeing is HipHop and RnB with what’s Pop. Cause most international hits is between Reason and Ableton and FLStudio is just getting across the pond in the last 10 years. But I love the content regardless just hope that we can involve all parties into the conversation when it comes to DAWs.
