tags are ridiculous nowadays, some producers even pay for people to make their tags or ask their friend to say something and make it a tag. I’ve been producing for 16 years. I don’t even make hip-hop. Rarely sometimes for a client, but I mainly make electronic music. Timbaland is probably my biggest production influence. It was undeniable listening to his music back in the day that he was something special. I couldn’t help but pay attention.

I agree, the limitations back then pushed the producer to go deeper. Now days we’re given everything, drums, samples, plug ins etc. it’s unlimited. In other words, less is more.

He has the right mindset about music and is why he is so successful. I am focusing on being better period and finding my style. I think it's important part of being a producer, being able to reinvent yourself all the time. It's the one thing that really shows your devotion to the craft.
