    Great video!! This definitely tells me the product is not for my hairstyle. The clutch xl so far has been the best. Thanks for these awesome reviews so we can shop for the right ones. 👍🏻

    Great video Matt. You are awesome, did this video very quickly. What I noticed is Antigravity works best as a prestyler than as a post. Great review

    Great review! You’re reviews are pretty godly, in depth and very impressive. A cool video would be your top two or three products going up against each other. I know you like Baxter clay pomade, and I saw your clutch vs claymation and cavalier video.( which got me to buy clutch and I’m liking it so far) but seeing those two go up against each other would be pretty cool. Keep up the videos cause they are badass

    Hey Matt can you do a review on Lockhart’s transcend? I’ve been trying to look for a replacement for matte fire and brimstone but haven’t found one. I’ve tried clutch but the hold isn’t good on my hair.

      Been meaning to try Transcend one of these days. It’s on my to-do list for sure.

    I like using this product more as a pre-styler for other clays. Lockhart Matte Clay is a little too greasy for my tastes but using a dime size amount of this first helps keep it "dry". Having said that, not sure it's as cost efficient as just buying another dryer clay. I like Shear Revival American Gardens a lot.

    Great video just have a question, how long is your hair and how long did it take to grow

    • @TDMStyle
      @TDMStyle  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Right now it’s somewhere around 5.5 - 6 inches at its longest point. I grew it from pretty short (like probably less than 3 inches) over a while.. maybe 8 months? Generally it grows around 1/2 inch or so per month.

    Hey Matt, what matte finish product would you recommend for people who only use all-natural products due to health reasons?

    • @TDMStyle
      @TDMStyle  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Can’t say I really know any hair products that are 100% natural - most typically have at least some type of chemical compounds in them used for emulsifying or other things, although many products now contain certified organic ingredients. Sorry I don’t have a good specific recommendation for you.

    • @gnomebeard407
      @gnomebeard407 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      The word "natural" is completely meaningless in terms of marketing. It also depends on what YOU define what natural is.
      This reminds me of George Carlin. You need to watch...
      th-cam.com/video/X08upzdwejg/w-d-xo.html
      I think it comes down to simplicity. Oil based and water based. You cannot have a water-based pomade without a preservative. Anytime you add water to oil, there MUST be a preservative. Oil-based pomades, on the other hand, do not need preservatives. Mailroom Barber Co. makes an awesome oil-based clay. Matte finish. Doctor Squirrel Grooming Co also makes a similar matte clay. Check them out.

    Great video!! Is there any matte clay that rinses out with water that you recommend (besides from clutch)?

    • @TDMStyle
      @TDMStyle  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! There are several water-based clays now that wash out easily - Arcadian, ORIEN’T, Moroccanoil are a few. Keep an eye out for the upcoming Stickmore clay fiber too!

      TDM Style Thank you!! I will be waiting for it. What do you think about daimon barber texture clay?

    • @TDMStyle

      I haven’t tried it myself yet, but I’ve heard good things!

    • @TDMStyle
      @TDMStyle  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Arcadian has a quite matte/dry finish, so as long as you don’t want much actual slickness, it would be fine.

    I agreed with your reviewed and it kinda dissapointing product for me. Btw can you recommend me great product for straight thin/fine hair and for style i usually go for slickback type pompadour/ side pompadour and i want to have matte finish?. Right know i have 2 product in come for my mind which is Matte clay and trascend by lockhart. Just want to know your opinion man

    • @TDMStyle
      @TDMStyle  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I haven’t tried Transcend yet, but I do like their matte clay and it would probably work well for what you’re after. My personal favorite still is Clutch clay by TheSalonGuy.

      @kevszkar01 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Sooo it is a really good Pre-styler

    • @TDMStyle
      @TDMStyle  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I wouldn’t say “really good” for me, but using it only as a prestyler combined with other products, it’s fine.

    • @seal9502
      @seal9502 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      TDM Style Yeah,it gives lots of volume but has that dryness :/ and for prestylers idc if they give you good hold or not 🙂

    A year late but how does AG compare to blumaan original?

    • @TDMStyle
      @TDMStyle  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Totally different. AG is drier, lighter, and for me has much less hold than Original. Similar matte finish and texture but for my hair type Original is more effective.

  • @MinhHoang-gi3wr
    @MinhHoang-gi3wr 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    I suggest you use more to increase the hold ( 1.5 scoop)

    • @TDMStyle
      @TDMStyle  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’ve tried as much as 3 to 4 scoops and still had the same problem unfortunately, plus more scoops made my hair more tangly.

    • @TDMStyle
      @TDMStyle  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      You would probably benefit from something like Aveda thickening tonic as a prestyler, and then a volumizing clay like Moroccanoil Texture Clay to post style.

    Few things I've learned from this.
    1. Hairs WILL be coming out when you use this it is INEVITABLE. doesn't matter how wet your hair is in prestyling phase.
    2. The hold while initially good gives up pretty fast unless you blast it with hairspray.
    3. Unless your hair is like super healthy and naturally shine it's gonna look pretty dull with just this product because it's so Matte.
    Probably throw some essential oil before to give it a healthy look.
    Not the product for me. And it's actually my first of two Lockhart's products. And I don't think I will purchase any more they just don't work for me and my hair type.

      TDM Style but many you tubers says it is not good for fine hair because it way down the hair

    • @TDMStyle
      @TDMStyle  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Some heavy clays can weigh down the hair, sure. But there are also many lightweight clays designed to add volume which work well in fine hair.

    Don’t blame the product for your ridiculous haircut. Regardless of what product you use, you always looks ridiculous…

    • @TDMStyle
      @TDMStyle  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't know what you were watching, because I have never once blamed a product for what my _haircut_ looks like lmao. That literally makes zero sense. (Also, if you think a standard undercut with blended sides is a "ridiculous haircut," I dunno what to tell you there, babe. It has been a well-known and popular haircut for many years.) So, since it seems that you didn't understand the cut-and-dry details of why I reviewed this the way I did in video format, I'll give it to you in short-form text instead:
      Antigravity simply does not work well for my hair type/texture. This is not related to my cut, it is related to the hair's texture. It is a simple fact of hair styling that very dry, very matte products are not well-suited for people with coarse/wavy/curly hair textures. While the style and quality of haircut can play a minor role in how _easily_ someone can style their hair, product application and effectiveness is down to the basic science of how coarse/wavy hair structure works, and how it interacts with various types of products. Coarse/wavy hair is naturally drier than straight hair, and therefore needs products which provide more moisture in order to reduce frizz and effectively hold a style in place. Very dry matte products obviously cannot provide this. Antigravity is a very dry, matte product. Hopefully that clears things up for you.
      Also, in case you were wondering. If you think I "always look ridiculous," nobody is forcing you to watch my videos. There are plenty of other creators out there with haircuts different than mine lol
