yea, atraxa's definitely not "CEDH" and the only build that can compete at cedh tables is a stax/attrition version. definitely not a dedicated superfriends
It's really weird that he decided to bring an extremely bad version of a medium commander to a table where the stated goal is to go as hard as possible :/
@@hugodiazroa My comment was directed at the fact that in the three games played, Tomer lost all three of them, and everyone else won a game. Crim with Atraxa won a game of CEDH in one those three match.

Just now watching this game and I agree. Everyone else had just as much Mana ways to block, and way more cards in hand. At that point Tomer wasn't even relatively close to the top threat and Seth two for 1'd himself to completely shut down the player furthest behind. :/
Best part of cEDH this time around is how everyone, for the most part, knows how their decks work. Watching them before, it was clear everyone needed a guide or primer to know. This time around, I'm glad Tomer played a High-Power Edric, Seth played Control/Combo, Andrew played Food-Chain Combo, and Crim played... Best part of this was watching 3-games.
The bestow cost literally says "it becomes a creature again if it's not attached to a creature." Of course it isn't a creature spell. But still, wonderful video. I love this group.
As someone who is not very well versed in CEDH combos and such, I really appreciated you guys breaking down the food chain infinite mana combo, thanks guys!
Thank you guys for playing some cEDH decks even though it's not your cup of tea. It's fun seeing you all figure out the combos, subtle nuances and general pacing of each deck. It can be pretty intense at times.
Kenrith is considered about a 9/10 in terms of cEDH power. That is basically the highest power since the only ones that people consider almost overpowered are Thrasios and Tymna (Thrasios has similar win con to Kenrith except it doesn't required colored mana and it gets all of your lands onto the battlefield)
Game one, andrew could have one with this line: Tutor food chain (4 mana left) Food chain (1 mana) Use his plethora of creatures in hand to ramp up to Proshh Walking Ballista for infinite, good game
at 1:46:24, Andrew should have tainted pacted for food chain. If he hits squee or eternal scourge along the way, he can cast food chain, eat the bob, and then go off and kill with the bushwacker in hand.
I really enjoy the cEDH week every season, but it is really awful when one person does not bring a cEDH deck. Last season Vince played Nekusar, and this season it is Chrim on Atraxa. Atleast make everyone do some research, Tomer always tries so hard to fit the theme, but it gets ruined if everyone is not in on it
00:55:23 Oh then you should see a proper stax deck at work. I run the Xantcha Control shell with the storm package replaced by hardcore stax, led by Queen Marchesa.
Well I can understand that you guys are not very used to playing cEDH, but in the minute 47:58, Andrew had basically 6 mana, so you would tap mana crypt + swamp to play Diabolic Intent, get Food Chain, Play Food chain, you'll have 1 mana floating, then you keep sac'ing creatures with the food chain until you reach 4 mana, then cast Eternal Witness, recover Pyroblast (in case of counters), sac Witness, get recruiter, search Squee the inmmortal, food chain him to infinite, cast a huge Ballista, and kill everyone.
I am so happy about the commander clash format. By far my most liked series. cEDH was a pleasant alternative. I hope we are gonna see once one of tomer's moonfolk decks (mono or multicolor)
Crim's deck the last game basically read: "kill target Tomer". Overburden + Tained Aether + Teferi's Protection are all hate cards for Edric Turns. It could end no other way.
I love cedh weeks occasionally but what ruins it is when one person isn't cedh. And the worst bit is it's normally the people who run unfair decks and a normal game. Vince did it and now crim did it. I get tomers isn't the most powerful either but superfriends is far to weak compared to something like proosh chain
in game one, food chain coulda won on their first turn through, 1 cmc dork -> diabolic intent getting food chain -> cast food chain -> 1 cmc dork -> foochain it for a 2 cmc dork -> food chain it for imperial recruiter getting squee -> infinite mana for balista. coulda skipped the mana crypt risk

There was no way to draw the extra turn spell, unless I'm missing something. Just sayin', kinda BM to spin your wheels when you know it's over.
Man, this was pretty fun to watch and a great St Nic present, but I think I strongly prefered the rounds where you guys were playing "stock" cedh lists that were "established" in the "format" as those tended to be a decent chunk more powerful (referencing the Najeela, Teferi etc episode). Here, for example, seeing Prosh struggle is just such a big reminder why First Sliver pretty much monopolised FC decks now
I know this was ages ago so no one really cares anymore; But couldn't Seth Force of Will the Merciless Eviction to stop the Mana Drain if he wanted to keep the board state but stop the mana gain?

turn 1 mystic remora is not that good in cedh, the proper line to stop it is to just play lands and wait till your opponent can't pay the upkeep cost, just out attrition it. mystic remora is better at most tables in CEDH as a turn 2 or 3, when you are really stopping your opponents power plays and can use the refill and cards you draw to stop them or win the game. just my experience.
Actually, Prossh is currently rated as a tier 2 meta cEDH legendary. Food Chain Prossh: 9
Kenrith: 8 (not sure on this one)
Atraxa Superfriends: 5 or 6

Why does Tomer remind me of Wes Wise?
Apparently, the "c" in "cEDH" stands for Combo. Kinda groovy to see 3 different decks win, Unfortunately it happened while keeping hate towards Edric.
Is crim not running cyc rift?
Shouldnt the kenrith Deck have World gorger Combo?
Is Atraxa Stax a viable CEDH option
Muddstah trying the classic "Scoop so you can't draw" didn't even work. MTGO enforcin' them house rules.
