I couldn’t have said it better myself homie.. “Don’t buy cheap tools”... You spend more money in the long run replacing them after you break them.. Other tip of the day is “buy the correct tool for the job”... Great freaking job my guy.. Not just anyone would have taken that job on and you absolutely knocked it out of the park.. When it comes to painting over chrome all you can do is sand, sand and just when you are convinced it’s good enough, sand some more.. Looks good.. 👍🏼

Dope video as always! Make sure to let the clear coat cute for like a few days, if you did a bunch of layers, before wet sanding. Start with 1000 grit and work up to 2000, then compound and wax. It'll look like the finish of the body paint. Super reflective 💪🏾

Love it, looks good. Might try sanding the black on the front bumper and hit it with some mat clear coat. Love how you just dove into this. I can do stuff like this, but I have the same luck as you do. It almost never goes as planned and I get super frustrated. You would think I would’ve learned by now. Anyway, hope you and yours are well, have a great Friday.

Awesome job! I have had my chrome bumper painted a year and a half now and it is holding up well. Like you showed a good sanding and primer is key to getting to a good starting point. Although I did take a short cut after that and and went straight to bed liner over the primer. Smooth even coats and wet sanding just don't seem like something I would take to very well!
P.S. Great channel name, subed to see more great tips for the F-150 and whatever comes next!

I did both bumpers with PlasticDip which is very easy, little prep, no need to remove bumpers, BUT it won't last. When it does start to peel off and when I have more money I'll take the truck in and have someone paint the bumpers. I don't have the patience to do this myself.

been about 2 years, have you had any chipping problems? other than road debris obviously!
I Can’t believe it’s been that long ago! I haven’t had any issues at all other than normal road debris like rock chips and I only have a few. It’s held up very well!! Are you thinking about painting yours?
