    Bought ours for the awd that you did not comment on for the snow and ice in northern MICHIGAN.. test drove and it's superb in snow, it's going to be the wife's ride. Found the cabin to be very spacious lots of head and leg room easy for me to get in and out of perfect ground clearance..At 73 I don't understand all the complaints about the engine as we took it out to i75 and ran it up to 80mph quickly so plenty of acceleration. Do not need or want a lot of hp to break loose in the snow and ice in Michigan winter's.

      Hey there fellow Michigander, recently leased a ‘22 Equinox LT in fwd, loving it so far. Agreed, the 1.5L engine is adequate for this vehicle and for me, has that “just right” feel. I was considering a Blazer but the interior layout of the Equinox sold me. Have yet to try the ‘Nox in our MI winters but I’m sure it’ll handle it like a champ

      I rented a 2022 GMC Terrain (Equinox twin) with the 1.5 turbo and it was perfectly fine around town or merging on the freeway. I don't understand so many reviewers saying its slow. Its perfectly adequate for the segment and fine for everyday driving. I own a '21 Subaru Legacy with a 260 HP 2.5 turbo engine so I'm used to a faster car and the Terrain still felt fine to me.

    Funny that your first thought about the accessory outlet was a radar detector, and the first thing you said about the glove box is how many license plates you could fit in... Are you planning on dodging the police or something? 🤣

      Thanks! There are a couple dealerships in my area that have a couple in transit so keep a lookout in your local inventories because they should be delivered before December. Unless of course they’re purchased while in transit haha appreciate the comment!

    Hi Will. Thanks for the review. I really like the format of your videos and have watched multiple. I owned a 2011 Equinox that I loved, and was now considering the Trailblazer. It's been impossible to find one to test drive so your video on that was really helpful. After watching both, I'm wondering if I should stick with the Equinox. I like the better fuel economy of the trailblazer but the Equinox space and comfort is tempting. I'm curious, which one did you like better?

    • @WTFCRLT1
      @WTFCRLT1  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Katie! Thanks for the comment i apologize for the late response I must have never seen the notification. As far as exterior styling, I think the trailblazer has a better front end but I prefer the Equinox with just about everything else. Especially with the RS package which really livens up the exterior. The whole 3 cylinder turbo with the Trailblazer also could be a potential reliability concern so if it was my money, I’d stick to the equinox. The Blazer with the V6 could also be a great alternative!

    • @WTFCRLT1
      @WTFCRLT1  2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I personally find it fine for daily driving. Very solid low end torque and the turbo doesn’t take long to spool up. The top end isnt too strong but that’s not something most people use on a daily basis. Appreciate the comment!

    Does the 2022 Equinox have a flat-folding front passenger seat (to put long items inside the vehicle)? I see that is in the Trax and Trailblazer, but I want a slightly larger, more powerful vehicle.
    What about heated and ventilated front seats in the 2022 Equinox?

      That’s how most direct injection engines sound man some are worse than others, but that doesn’t indicate any weakness in the motor.

    My dealer tells me there is massive difference in quality difference between ones build in Mexico and ones build in Canada. (Mexican build have a lot of quality issues). Also don't expect these engines to last past 100k miles. If you buy new, trade it in before then, a d if you're on the marked for used, stay away.

      The problem with vehicles from Mexico is that they often reach dealerships with issues, missing parts or certain parts simply not properly fastened etc...
      So sure that when you get your vehicle it is checked and fixed, providing they found the issue, often they don't and customers come back for warranty work, and dealerships hate doing warranty work because GM in this case pays them half the rate that regular customer coming in, mechanics hate working on warranty jobs, and you are often oblivious to issues your dealerships face, I know because I have acquaintance within the dealership. It is shocking the state they find these vehicles in at times. They often have to assign full time guy who constantly is checking and fixing issues before they go to customers.

      @@googlreviews7813 interesting. I actually have worked at a GM dealership for 23 yrs. We see no difference in quality during the PDI (pre-delivery inspection) process. The average PDI takes under an hour and they are then cleaned and on the lot, where a customer and salesperson would certainly see deficiencies. The issues we see are with rail damage from shipping, usually bumpers front and back since rail companies don't chain down vehicles; only put them in park.

    • @googlreviews7813
      @googlreviews7813 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@dpach352
      Well,
      All I can tell you is that I am told they have way less work at the dealership when vehicles aren't build in Mexico.
      I was told new Equinox no longer has drives haft bolted to the transmission and rear diff, it has some snap on system. There has been several incidents reported where those driveshafts got loose because they didn't snap them in properly and 100% of incidents were involving Mexican build Equinoxes.
      Look, it's no world secret that quality at those places is poor, GM pays their workers $1.95/h so you can't expect serious commitment, people there can't even afford vehicles they build. In my family we simply won't touch any Mexican, or Chinese build vehicles, for many reasons, not just quality.
      Also apparently wiring harnesses on new Equinoxes won't last, there is a reason why GM offers worst warranty in the industry.
      Cheers
