Ok, I finally learned this trick somewhat.
It's like a pop, bot just barely, no foot sliding. just pop bend knees, keep front foot on bolts. Trial and error!
Backside kick-turn grab going through the coping (as if there is an invisible, glass wall -- that is not even there).

Yeah tony Alva was talking that he did excactly that came in with a little more speed and just kinda had to kinda save him self and did a little fly out,so he says that's how he did his first one.All the skate kids today 85 percent of them from what I have seen and been told are backside only generation,me I do both but prefer front side to back just because I feel I see better I think mainly I can change my visual focus quicker and still see out of my Perephrial vision rite where I am and can look ahead too,backside u turn loose shoulders kind of limit how much u can turn your head their both cool,but u hit on it if u could do a kick turn in the air above the ramp or coping that's the same motion,a little tip to really slow ur turn down when u go into the air 43 years ago I was just some how nailing stuff now I'm old and clumsy,but I still smoke so I really have to slow my turns Down and airs to u just kinda spin a little and kinda let gravity do the rest.there s know resistance once your air borne .THANKS I wish I could learn some of the unbelievable street tricks u guys do,but I'm thankful my balance is still around and my kick turns still on auto pilot,I'm trying to get my flexibility a little better so I can do an Ollie oop that's the only reason I'm still alive I think...hah hah.piece. Hosoi Hosoi get amped or go home just kidding.

what willis says here is true, baby step your way up, it simply goes for every air trick, i made a big mistake by trying to frontside air without baby stepping my way up and it ended with a broken foot.

+FerreneMachine I did it several times while i was learning this trick haha i ate it on the ground got a huge elbow swelling from it. But now i got them and its getting more and more comfortable and easy. Im even finding it more fun than the frontside ones that i learned like years before the backside one. But the secret is knowing how to bail, when you spot your landing you have to kinda forecast where your wheels are gonna land. If you see its too far back, bail it, kick the skateboard away or if you have the guts try to land it Disaster. But sometimes it just happens accidentaly when you're not waiting that disaster and it happens its the worst wipe out ever. Thats why its a good trick to learn wearing Pads and Helmet. I didn't wear em but i've payed some duties with blood and limb.

im not scared of it coz the first couple times trying a new air trick i keep the board under me but dont land it and if my trucks dont hang up then im not scared but if they do i just commit and hope they dont and if i eat shit then i just hope someone got it on film or seen it coz hung ups make for legendary slams
hey we recently got our first skatepark i used to skate streets now i am in love with the skatepark i learned how to bs early grab air it was easy and it gave me the idea of taking air from the ramp i really wanna learn how to bs air

Tried to learn this today and got pitched right to the center of the ramp, again and rolled my ankle on the board and slammed, and the last one I was shaken up and my back foot came off on the drop in and my back foot came off, then machatted my foot and pitched my head into the other quarter on the mini, more tomorrow.
