      Joey was just a lot faster than the 24 at the end there. He had been running quicker lap times the last 8-10 laps and closed up what had been a near 2 second gap to nothing with about 2 laps to go.
      On the last re-start, Byron ran Joey up in to the wall and was able to get the lead in doing so.
      Logano decided to save his tires and put on a charge at the end,..catch him and then use and insurance policy bump and run for the win.
      If Byron had the performance to win,..Joey wouldn't have been close enough to bump and run. He didn't and lost.

      Your right NASCAR has been like this for years. If your the one who wins you get the trophy and the other guy is always upset. I remember a couple of years ago guys like Harvick and Stewart banging Joey around, smacking him into the walls and calling him a spoilt rich punk. Why is anyone surprised he's learned how to punt people out of the road.
      I remember Carl Edwards punting Brad Keselowski out of the road at Gateway and Brad got t-boned. Carl got out of the car and said he couldn't let it happen again after Brad had punted Carl at a restart. then Brads dad was howling outside the medical centre about how Carl had lost his mind and almost killed his kid. No mention of how Brad had nearly killed Carl at Talladega.
      NASCAR is what NASCAR is. Guys beatin and bangin and fightin for wins.

  • @Timlin22
    @Timlin22 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    This incident is quite simple. The move was a hard bump and run. No issues there. The problem is that it was unnecessary. Logano could've passed Byron without putting him in the wall. Just go low. He had the time and the overspeed in the car. Even if Joey was mad for being squeezed a bit on the restart (didn't really get put into the wall if you watch the replay certainly not like other drivers have done) he shouldn't have just wrecked Byron as a result. And for those saying it wasn't a wreck it was. Byron would've finished top 5 without the move instead he finished 13th with only one tire up and damage. So yeah, it may have been hard racing and just like the good old days, but the move came off like Joey wanted to be a jerk and wreck Byron.

      EXACTLY. You’d never see multiple teams in nascar rushing in to reassemble a bent up car. You see it constantly on dirt. I remember a night years back at the dirt track at Vegas where a sprint car heat race had a pileup on the start- literally involving 9 of the 12 cars. They allowed the teams to just come out on track to repair rather than take the time to tow cars pit side. There were at least 10 teams per CAR out there fixing people up, it was like the floodgates opened up. That is what motorsports should be about.

    It doesn't matter what this Commentator thinks that Byron didn't really do anything except push him towards the wall but it didn't crash Lagano, it's what Lagano believed and anyone who thinks Being forced into the Wall which killed his cars momentum was perceived as an intentional attempt to deny him the lead which he has shown happens on the outside track.
    And Langano was 100% overtaking Bryon with gaining that 1 second distance that Langano had not been able to do since being forced to the Wall. Something had changed with Byron's Car, probably he didn't have solid contact with his back tires anymore and so he was forced to ease up slightly or spin out on the last turn before the Checkered Flag and Lagano still had solid performance with his tires under him.
    Bryon I perceive as having the Understanding that he did not have the capability to maintain the Lead in the Race may have ease up on the Throttle to make a Bump by Lagano appear to be Far More aggressive than Lagano was intending to do.
    What we have are Byron and the Legend Jeff Gordon Really Making this into a Major Assault Violation due to the lack of giving any acknowledgement of their Forcing Lagano into the Wall that snuffed out Lagano:s Car's Speed that he was building that would have overtaken Byron with Langano having the Benefit of The Higher Track which is known to give equal cars the Advantage in overtaking the counterpart threw and out of the Upcoming Turn.
    Sorry this should just be Allowed to End and no further Paybacks as Byron did stiffle Langano against the Wall can clearly be viewed on Replays!.
