You’re doing great! No judgements. Every rider makes mistakes and you haven’t made many. You learn from them and get better everyday. Love the rides, love the history lessons, love the beautiful European Countryside!

Actually I laughed about the first few minutes, not because of your mistake, but because I've experienced the same exact situation a number of times over the years I lived in England. Being from the States I would occasionally revert back to right-side driving without realizing it until I encountered a car coming at me!! Driving in Europe and then returning back to England, like you did, would start the process over again!! Thankfully I never had a accident and you were also recover your mistake without any major issue other than a bit of a scare and a few flowery words!! Great video!!

Great command of the English language, perfect timing when you dropped the F bomb....haha! Every-time I drive in England or the Caribbean islands, I have to be mindful as to which side of the road to drive on, especially in the country side, or when starting my day. I too have used similar language not realizing I’m back in the US.
Great videos, and providing a narrative about the area that you’re riding in. As always, I’ll be looking forward to the next video.

2 years later and watching this again it is still funny the naughty words of a confused young Lady. But it really is that easy to forget for a moment what side of the road you are meant to be on when used to riding in other countries. Sadly I have known one or two people who have lost their lives to just such a simple mistake having returned from America to where the riding/driving is on the opposite side of the road. It is so lovely being able to "ride" with you even if it is a re-run a couple of years later.

I thought the same thing, but after doing the cost comparison of renting a bike verses shipping my Ultra for 4 weeks it’s actually less expensive. I was planning a trip for this past summer, and looked into last fall. There’s a few different shipping methods by ship. The company’s customer service was extremely helpful when I did my plan. The one thing I noticed about renting a bike in Europe, is that they offered smaller bikes, mostly BMW’s and the Harleys daily rate was extremely expensive, most of them didn’t have a fairing or radio. Check out the following website link I’ve provided: I was going to ship from Port in New Jersey to Rotterdam Netherlands.

I've often wondered about the effects of riding in Europe for a while then coming back to the UK. I assume it would be much like my heading to see friends in Australia and renting a bike there, and then returning home to the States. I was such a numpty! No harm done though. Hi Nigel, thanks for watching the video. Glad you enjoyed it. To be honest I am not sure. On the tour we started to look for a fuel station every 100 miles, we weren't on empty but that way we knew we had some safety fuel in case we didn't find one. We did do over 140 miles on a tank but it was in the red zone at that time, climbing a mountain in Switzerland.
