I use the Senator against bugs quite a bit… it’s not for hunters and swarms. It’s got medium armor penetration and one shots warriors. It’s for the larger bugs that your primary can’t eliminate effectively like hive guards or armored bile spewers.
Anyone is a surgeon with auto aim from an aimbot. Just look how his cursor snaps to targets. His sensitivity is cranked to the high hell, yet he makes the smallest of adjustments for a single step, keeping the target perfectly on the enemies head. Humans aren't that accurate with a mouse, let alone a thumbstick.
@@aidencaterwall9146 I watch people who have better aim than this all the time. Just look at pro players in fps games. I find it really disturbing that your first instinct is to accuse him of cheating. It doesn't even remotely look like an aimbot, lmao.
Man, idk how you do it on max diff. solo; but I just got done with difficulty 7 solo, and found myself stuck trying to escape, but having patrols spawn on top of it over and over again. Mad props, truly a legend.
There's also another type of rogue station I discovered last night on a bot planet..it had a hulk corpse propped up like a statue so it looked WAY larger than a normal hulk
I’m ngl I kinda like how they balanced the railgun, it’s great against medium armor enemies like hiveguards, broodmothers and spewers and can take out chargers as well but struggles with titans making you want to take more anti tank stratagems. For the bots side tho it’s amazing it might replace ac for me since it takes out hulks with ease.
It's really bad against the factory gunship though which makes me a little hesitant to take it over the AC, AMR, LC, or Quasar but maybe if I pair it with the EAT, could be a good combo.
@@baconx6476I guess if you’ve got teammates to deal with factory striders you’re good, and you can focus the devastators it spawns or use explosive stratagems against them. It can overpenetrate so I wonder if you can kill multiple devastators in one hit. For gunships it’s still kinda bad though, so you’ll need a teammate to help. Unless it’s actually good and my aim sucks against them.
Twinbeard stated that there's an issue with the chargers legs and railgun dmg, which, the engineers are looking into a fix. (No new update as of 4/30 0530 EST)
I was using the Railgun yesterday as well. It’s actually really good now for everything except Bile Titans. - It 1 taps Brood Commanders heads off - It 1 taps Hive Guards - 2 Taps Charger leg armour off The Stratagems I was running were: 500kg for Bile titans, Eagle Airstrike, Railgun and Supply Pack. I really like the idea of switching 500kg with EAT’s to deal with Bile Titans. With only a 70 second cooldown and a guaranteed kill as long as you hit the shots, that’s better than the 500kg where you need to time the throw perfectly. Going to try this!
Idk about you but after the first nerf to the railgun, i started loving the EAT meta, before quaser and during quaser. It gives bonus variety to my runs because between situations where you need EATs I can pick up random support weapons from POIs or other players then call EATs when the time comes.
I dunno, seeing how much trouble chargers give to so many various builds (not necessarily cookie-cutter builds, but yeah), I feel like railgun offers a good target coverage and a nice selling point now.
Yeap but I still believe there is going to be a balance for overcharge mode. In safety mode remove charger`s leg require 5 hits but as long as it overcharged, only 2 hits are required to archive so. That`s a big difference.
The Blitzer is good now. I still wouldnt choose it over the Breaker Inc. because of the inconsistency sometimes but if they get that fixed it will be top tier.
37:31 I think the solution is using something insted of napalm strike bro, like a gas strike for example or orbital barage or even laser, my fav is gas strike coz its the same as napalm but independant cooldown
Taki making Helldive solo look easy as usual even with a slightly scuffed build. The enemies of Democracy fear you above all... except maybe General Brasch himself 😉
Haven't tried anything yet, but that railgun buff looks like it'd be quite nice for automaton. Only tradeoff being unable to take out a drop ship. The only other question I have on bot side is damage to certain heatsinks. Cause if I recall correctly even pre nerf railgun had issues with stuff like cannon turret heat sinks and stuff.
The restoration of railgun`s ap allow it to shoot through MG devastator`s shield or blow up a hulk with one headshot in safety mode and kill a devastator in body with 80% overcharge. Still it takes at least 3 shot for heat sinks. Pre nerf railgun`s advantage is that it can shoot through the front armor with overcharge.
Honestly they should remove the railgun blowing up on overcharge and instead just add a overheat/cooldown instead. Still probably won’t touch this because you constant have to play a mini game to get shots off effectively…
If you are gonna bring the EAT to deal with bile titans, why not just use the EAT to deal with chargers as well and replace the railgun with something else?
>I'm not too sure if that was a oneshot on Brood Commanders Can confirm that I was oneshotting Brood Commanders with Railgun on Safe mode before and after nerfs no problems. It always was a great weapon againsg both Brood Commanders and Hive Guards
Depends on how far the target was from the explosion, and if it still has the bile sacks or not. And also if it has the brain exposed or not (in this case you can honestly use any weapon in the game to finish it off, but you get the point)
Charger`s armor is level 5 as far as I recall. Thus its legs and head have individual hp which kills charger when one part is depleted. For titan, however, only its head got individual hp.
Quasar got hit pretty hard, I feel like I can take on more chargers with other support weapons, even HMG. Still nice to have the occasional antitank shot against titans though.
I'm just not sure what they expect the railgun niche to be. Like, what's the point of safe vs unsafe? Safe would make more sense if it was fully charged faster and required a single trigger pull; but it just doesn't do anything right now
It seems perfectly fine as it is now. It's in a similar place to AMR and HMG in terms of its targets, but better at chargers and a passable option to finish off low hp Bile Titans.
It would definitely not be well balanced, considering that the Titan can't spit on you without the sacks, and you can stun lock him easily getting in and out his range to get free shots. All of this while being able to effectively deal with every single other unit and refill 20 bullets with one resupply. It's good as it is now!
Why does it need to kill everything? Why can’t it be good for medium and heavies and be used to finish off massive enemies after using stratagems or having teammates shoot it with rockets or their stratagems? I think it’s fine where it is now, it doesn’t need to kill bile titans that fast because then why would you ever use any anti tank weapon or ANY stratagem against them when one person with a rail gun on a four man team can kill all bile titans? It’s pretty decent against automatons imo since it can one shot hulks in the eye and can instantly kill devastators without needing a headshot. Not my first choice though.
I'd say more Ballistic with Senator + Eruptor, so you don't lose on stun and crowd control potential, as well as having a fabricator dealer so you can bring a stun nade for Hulks
Looks like Railgun is back on the menu for bugs, though it was never really good for BT unless you had the PS5 glitch. Sucks that it's not good on factory airships though for the bots, which makes the autocannon, lazer cannon, AMR, etc. still better for the bots.
as far as i tested its about 9 or 10 to the head at 90ish charge. i find it it best works for me with an orbital rail cannon as opening and a few head shots and bam.
Railgun also 3 shots charger heads I'm not sure if it's faster than shooting their legs or no. Also I was consistently finishing bile titans damaged by 500 Kgs in 2 to 4 shots
2:56 two shots with the revolver and the hunter still doesn't die. That gun doesnt deserve the big iron on the hip title. They should really buff its dmg so that it one shots hunters considering how the mac on semi auto mode is more efficient than the revolver in taking out trash.
@@gorgeousgeorge7104 How can you call it big iron on the hip when it can't even one shot a trash mob with a body shot. @@SignorTromboncino And Titan`s belly can be damaged and broken by any weapon. If a 500kg does not kill it, destroying the belly can finishit. If both soft tissues are shot off then titan can no longer spilt acid. However it will gain a speed boost and will charge at you so that it can pierce you with legs.
@@SignorTromboncino no no I appreciate it! Especially the auto cannon sentry, I can’t say I’ve ever really tested the sentries against the bigger enemies really. I wonder how many shots it takes for the railgun to blow off their back armor now by itself, since they’re pretty easy to kill once it’s gone with anything.
@@SignorTromboncino 500kg is a guaranteed kill on BT anyway unless the explosion was soaked up by something else.
Two sacks destroyed with whatever weapon fits for the task allow Rocket Pods to kill Titan in one use tho
Patrol spawns really seem increased for teams of 4 as well. We had 6 chargers and 2 bike titans on drop earlier.
You misunderstood what was changed. Spawn pools weren't affected by this change by any means
I use the Senator against bugs quite a bit… it’s not for hunters and swarms. It’s got medium armor penetration and one shots warriors. It’s for the larger bugs that your primary can’t eliminate effectively like hive guards or armored bile spewers.
Damn, I will never be this good so now they made it so I cant even play. Sad times, was fun while it lasted
dude you are an absolute SURGEON with that shotgun o_O
Anyone is a surgeon with auto aim from an aimbot. Just look how his cursor snaps to targets. His sensitivity is cranked to the high hell, yet he makes the smallest of adjustments for a single step, keeping the target perfectly on the enemies head. Humans aren't that accurate with a mouse, let alone a thumbstick.

Man, idk how you do it on max diff. solo; but I just got done with difficulty 7 solo, and found myself stuck trying to escape, but having patrols spawn on top of it over and over again.
Mad props, truly a legend.
9:44 That's insane. Railgun users eating good this patch. I'm gonna go smoke my quasar pack now with my 15 second recharge time.
Love your aim, so smooth and precise.
There's also another type of rogue station I discovered last night on a bot planet..it had a hulk corpse propped up like a statue so it looked WAY larger than a normal hulk
8:39 looks like chicken wing is back on the meny boys!
@@colin7231 I’m talking about railgun here not ark thrower…
It's really bad against the factory gunship though which makes me a little hesitant to take it over the AC, AMR, LC, or Quasar but maybe if I pair it with the EAT, could be a good combo.
@@baconx6476I guess if you’ve got teammates to deal with factory striders you’re good, and you can focus the devastators it spawns or use explosive stratagems against them. It can overpenetrate so I wonder if you can kill multiple devastators in one hit. For gunships it’s still kinda bad though, so you’ll need a teammate to help. Unless it’s actually good and my aim sucks against them.
Bro, Railgun worked like that even before this patch
Twinbeard stated that there's an issue with the chargers legs and railgun dmg, which, the engineers are looking into a fix. (No new update as of 4/30 0530 EST)
the devs said the railgun taking more shots to break a chargers leg armor is a bug and i find that i consistently 3 shot a charger to the head anyway
I was using the Railgun yesterday as well. It’s actually really good now for everything except Bile Titans.
- It 1 taps Brood Commanders heads off
- It 1 taps Hive Guards
- 2 Taps Charger leg armour off
The Stratagems I was running were: 500kg for Bile titans, Eagle Airstrike, Railgun and Supply Pack. I really like the idea of switching 500kg with EAT’s to deal with Bile Titans. With only a 70 second cooldown and a guaranteed kill as long as you hit the shots, that’s better than the 500kg where you need to time the throw perfectly. Going to try this!
What about stalkers?
@@NoHands46 I use the Grenade Pistol as the secondary and I’ve been using Breaker inciner so just use primary to kill and find their nest quick 💀
Idk about you but after the first nerf to the railgun, i started loving the EAT meta, before quaser and during quaser. It gives bonus variety to my runs because between situations where you need EATs I can pick up random support weapons from POIs or other players then call EATs when the time comes.
I really wish the devs would make a firing range so we can test weapons without actually being in the field
I was trying to get better so I can do a solo helldive. This vid will make or break my attempt
I dunno, seeing how much trouble chargers give to so many various builds (not necessarily cookie-cutter builds, but yeah), I feel like railgun offers a good target coverage and a nice selling point now.
The rollercoast of emotions on 32:40, loving it XD
Could we get your build in the description? Would help tons with context around what happens during the dive.
I love the new railgun it's so fun to use now, and with the jetpack, it's lots of fun, even if it might not be the "meta" loadout that everyone wants.
The back legs will be what you want to hit now. Front legs are heavy armor. Even though you can pen doesn't mean they should be primary on Safe Mode.
I'd love to see you test the buff to the arc shotgun and hear your opinion about that. :>
This is how I imagined the railgun would work when I read the patch notes for the nerf.
The air burst rocket is so good at killing egg clusters. Not very surprising I know, but still.
It seems a lot of the new primary weapon changes are for single targeting types so it'd be cool to see more automaton videos showcasing them
37:31 I think the solution is using something insted of napalm strike bro, like a gas strike for example or orbital barage or even laser, my fav is gas strike coz its the same as napalm but independant cooldown
Taki making Helldive solo look easy as usual even with a slightly scuffed build. The enemies of Democracy fear you above all... except maybe General Brasch himself 😉
the patch nerfed us so hard and its across the board. time will only tell how this patch will affect our progress in any of the planet clears
Breaker incendiary only kills shriekers that quick if you’re host - otherwise have to wait until the fix for it
Haven't tried anything yet, but that railgun buff looks like it'd be quite nice for automaton.
Hi takibo, you should try Nvidia Broadcast for your room voice echo, it is something lightweight and works pretty decent.
Honestly they should remove the railgun blowing up on overcharge and instead just add a overheat/cooldown instead. Still probably won’t touch this because you constant have to play a mini game to get shots off effectively…
What about using rocket pods to open a bile titans back, then engaging the open spot to railgun and primary?
Maybe try out the hmg it may help better now with the 3rd aiming reticle
You can turn autoclimb off from the game options now.
If you are gonna bring the EAT to deal with bile titans, why not just use the EAT to deal with chargers as well and replace the railgun with something else?
Because he can? His primary covers chaff clear, EAT and Railgun cover heavies and mediums, it just works
>I'm not too sure if that was a oneshot on Brood Commanders
Can confirm that I was oneshotting Brood Commanders with Railgun on Safe mode before and after nerfs no problems. It always was a great weapon againsg both Brood Commanders and Hive Guards
they need to program the bug holes to instantly emit a bug whenever a player throws a grenade with their crosshair over it
50% of the time every time
i'm wondering how many rail cannon shots it takes AFTER a 500kg (where the 500kg doesn't finish the job). Or, railcannon orbital then railcannon gun.
Depends on how far the target was from the explosion, and if it still has the bile sacks or not. And also if it has the brain exposed or not (in this case you can honestly use any weapon in the game to finish it off, but you get the point)
I'm confused wasn't the unsafe railgun two shot to the charger leg right before this patch buff? How many shots did it used to be?
I can't exactly remember but it definitely took more than two shots
4/5 iirc
How do the devs now justify that the rail gun can strip the charger’s armor by can’t scratch the Bible Titan at all??
Charger`s armor is level 5 as far as I recall. Thus its legs and head have individual hp which kills charger when one part is depleted. For titan, however, only its head got individual hp.
Thanks for the info, but it doesn’t explain why 20 railgun shots to the face won’t take it down then…
Quasar got hit pretty hard, I feel like I can take on more chargers with other support weapons, even HMG. Still nice to have the occasional antitank shot against titans though.
i still 1 shot chargers to the face with quasar.
@@wyldeyouth the cd got nerfed not dmg
They need to get railgun to the point where it takes 4-5 near fully charged head shots to kill titan. Then it would be balanced.
Day 14368 of asking takibo to make a helldive difficulty run with the stalwart vs the bugs
tbh
Charger legs, good testing. Thanks.
Senator with the ballistic shield and SMG is gonna be dirty.
I'd say more Ballistic with Senator + Eruptor, so you don't lose on stun and crowd control potential, as well as having a fabricator dealer so you can bring a stun nade for Hulks
I really like new railgun, we weren't really using anything but 500kgs on the bile titand anyways.
Who else had their butthole clench at that extraction? Pure clutch. Bravo Helldiver
I don't understand the patch notes. Are spawns INCREASED playing solo now? What sense does that make?
2 shots, back in business! might pick up the rail gun again.
Railgun also 3 shots charger heads I'm not sure if it's faster than shooting their legs or no. Also I was consistently finishing bile titans damaged by 500 Kgs in 2 to 4 shots
Railgun was killing Chargers in three headshots before this patch
2:56 two shots with the revolver and the hunter still doesn't die.
That gun doesnt deserve the big iron on the hip title. They should really buff its dmg so that it one shots hunters considering how the mac on semi auto mode is more efficient than the revolver in taking out trash.
Why would a bug die from one shot into non-vital parts tho?
@@gorgeousgeorge7104 How can you call it big iron on the hip when it can't even one shot a trash mob with a body shot.
Has low rof, ammo economy is trash, long reload time unless you don't empty fully. Where's the trade off? What benefit does it have other than having moderate ap and still struggles to kill hive guards.
Description says it's heavy hitting but it doesn't feel like that at all.
If anything it feels weaker than a deagle. Could use a little more oompf like in the bushwacker range.
There is an achievement for completing a mission with just a secondary. Maybe a full Senator run.
How do you enter stratagems while moving around? I see that you use WASD when youre typing in the hellbomb, so how do you not lose movement when calling them in?
A month late, but u have to remap the input for strategem use, for example to ur arrow keys.
Yo the homie pelican ship took out that bile titan at the end.
with the buffed Railgun, i somehow managed to consistently do 4-5 headshots to down the bile titan on unsafe mode.

Highly recommend trying out the new blitzer.
I expect the queso to become more prevalent on missions with stratagem rebuffs, EAT possibly more in general.
Did they screw with the armor which reduces the detection range? I swear i'm getting detected by from far away
From what I’ve seen, the patrol spawns were bugged and originally you would see 1/6 of the patrols compared to a full team. Now you will correctly see 1/4 of the patrols. (Had to re-comment because people were spreading misinformation and unfounded hate for Arrowhead in the replies)
They should've properly communicated that in the patch notes, then
@BigDBrian They did, right next to where that change is stated. Unless they changed the patch notes retroactively, of course.
@@idreisbari6877 For some reason their steam patch notes are just bad, this is what they say:
"Patrol spawning has been increased when there are fewer than 4 players. The fewer the players the bigger the change. For 4 player missions there will be no change compared to before. The biggest noticeable change will be for solo players at higher difficulties"
As a side note it also incorrectly says the guard dog (not rover) was nerfed instead of the rover.
In the discord patch notes it is written as you said.
