I developed similar like dukhaan for all categories under service , manufacturing industry. (Had features like , universal search for all shops and products and freelancers,location based listing, instant chat etc, I started development in 2017 . But released in lockdown. I had no money to hire developers and my friendzone was not interested on this idea. Today dukhaan achived lot. I shut down business in 6 months. But i learnt lot, we should hire team and we should not take long time to build. I hope i will be back with new idea👍

Listening to this perspective constantly has given me the clarity that each channel is different. If your goal is to build a distribution network for your business/services, don't fall into the trap of increasing subscribers just for the sake of it. In the best-case scenario, you want your potential customers to be watching you and watching each video of yours till the end.

I made an even more advanced version which dukaan is currently today back in 2015 with the same simplicity with multiple Indian languages, I had apps for both buyer and seller with multiple themes, domain mapping, push notifications, pincode distance based shipping, 3rd party logistics, multiple offers, b2b, and what not,
somewhat i failed due to lack of public awareness back in that time and less marketing efforts from my side as I was focusing more over technology than onboarding customers, but today I feel proud of myself even after failing that I was soo ahead of time and I made such a thing years back before it actually got popular, learnt a lot over years and surely will come with another unicorn into the market ☺️☺️

@@bendover-bz4bc gifting, home decor and lifestyle. No haven't used Chuka. Most of my store is in India and for my international store I ship it from India as well.

I liked the founder and his thinking but I disagree with react part 35:33 , react is just 7 kb , unbiased framework, if you load a 2-3mb other library and expect react to be light weight, No it wont.
I feel he didnt knew how to optimise react code and expected a fresher to build scalable product. Netflix, Airbnb , etc many bigtech are made using react and their initial load takes only 4sec and in background it keeps on loading all other js. By going plain old js you lost all the pros of react becoz you didnt knew how to use it.
yep, same. was curious what he used instead of react? svelte looks like an option which removes even that overload.
@@StartupSpells yes looks like they went with svelte as they definitely wouldn't have gone with vanilla Js web components, not sure how fb is able to optimize react with the load they have and these startups with 1 % of that load struggle.
Netflix Airbnb is using react with next framework , so for them it should be same, as they already had react , they should have migrated to next, and work on ssr which would have solved there problem , building everything from scratch is like reinventing
@@sufi_masood yes, subhash probably doesn't know react or next well enough to make a comment on it or we're missing something but it's probably the former since all the biggies use react/next without a problem.

@ 20:27 what a naive load calculation. Customers won't wait all day for their time slot, they'll simply click the ad and visit the app. Load can never be uniform through out the day. Raspberry Pi may serve the request but what about database, app logs, backup, redundancy, static IP and ISP. I wonder if it's them running their business or the VC's money
