If you are ever confused about the power level of a certain warhammer wizard, direct yourself to the size and pointiness of their hat. The larger and pointier said hat, the more they can make magic go boom. Such is the power of Nagash
There's this bit from the Warhammer wiki about Teclis' opinion on humans that solidifies him as the best fantasy elf ever for me. It's from a bit of the lore where the brothers are going through Lustria with a bunch of humans as part of their army, and he thinks of how stupid the sense of Elven superiority is: "Later, during a battle against the Undead, Teclis found himself within a situation where he could save himself and his brother at the cost of the humans they'd brought on their expedition. He wondered why he should care, reasoning that, by elven standards, they were going to die soon anyway, whether by disease or disaster. But Teclis did care. He felt responsible for them, both he and his brother having brought them into danger. And though their lives were short, they were the only lives they had. He even felt sympathy for humans that his kin seemed to lack, the mage knowing that most elves would not have given him a chance at living when he had been but a sickly child. So it was that Teclis could see himself in humans, he could share in their perspective, for they were poorly made and despised by his fellow elves, just like he was." He's self aware and looks at things from a broader perspective. And as such he just... Helps. He helps everyone be better, elves, humans and dwarves alike. All the while being an absolute power house... Speaking of which, such is the power of Negash.
@@colbygordon6936 Gotrek justifying not kneeling for Allarielle by saying then he'd have to kneel for teclis and it'd be a cold day in hell before THAT happened was great.
As someone who knows basically nothing about the end times I feel like it would be peak comedy for our wizard boy to say malekith is the true king just to watch him walk into the flame of asurian and scream like a little girl one more time before the curtain falls.
Tyrion was able to forge that amazing sword because while he was missing he was actually transported to Skyrim by Tzeench where he was spam crafting iron daggers. Such is the power of Nagash
Pointy eared cunt also stole the White Flame of Ulric, causing Middenheim to fall and subsequently dooming the WFB universe. Such is the power of being an elf.
I'm no knife ear lover, but Teclis is basically the most chad elf to ever elf. Also it's funny seeing Bel'akor get bullied for the 12,000th time. Such is the power of Nagash.
I wish in one of the new books that anyone from the world that was, other than Thanquol, would notice Gotrek. So far he's just been wandering the realms searching for Felix, wanting to kill the rat, looking for a way to beat up Nagash, or looking for his axe. He's been in half the realms and only has Ghur and Hysh left "realistically", so he's bound to meet up with Teclis sooner or later, maybe give Kragnos a helluva fight. Must be magic that he's forgotten his mission to punch the bone head, such is the power of Nagash.
I was not expecting to enjoy learning about a wizard so much, but now Teclis is probably one of my favorite elven deities in... frankly all fantasy media. Such is the Power of Nagash!
I do find your videos on fantasy great, knowing nothing about it other then your videos means every video is fully new. And such is the power of nagash
When you are just trying to build some orc boys and black orcs, but you end up watching lore about a character you do not care about from a faction you do not care about. Such is the power of Nagash.
“Such is the power of Nagash” Though I admit I usually do listen to your videos while doing something else. I now wonder what other callouts of me I’ve missed
Now I'm imagining Teclis showing up at Settler's Gain to investigate reports of a disturbance and then finding Gotrek sitting on top of a pile of headless Lumineth and going "So the elf wizard returns, truly it's a sorry state of affairs when an elf is a god. Now tell me where in the bloody hells or wherever we are is My Axe and My Rememberer."
Speaking of interactions between Aos/fantasy and 40k, I so hope the bell that rang 13 times and caused immense destruction to Trayzan's museum is the skaven's great bell. I mean he chuckled that bitch into the webway and we know that can be wonky and end up in the warp. Imagine getting mad at a bell, tossing it away and accidentally creating reality crossing meth addict machine gun rats
all the mentioning of power work kill just made me think of a new feat, soul-deaf. your soul has become deafened to verbal magics and can no longer be affected by any verbal spell, good or bad. makes you immune to any sound based spell that doesnt affect the environment, but blocks you from some healing and buffs. if playing "hardcore, this feat makes you actually deaf as well.
In a fantasy setting, I would choose to be Wizard not because I'm too cowardly for combat. While no Beowulf, at least with proper armour and training, I wouldn't mind taking calculated risks. I would choose to be a wizard because it's so much more interesting and I'm a geek. Also, between a wizard and warrior, who do you think is more likely to find the means to become immortal? Also, all of a warrior's hard won abilities would degrade with age, while that is much less true (if at all) for a wizard.
Teclis is cool enough to make turns of phrase without it making dwarven kings feel slighted but somehow the dwarves in this setting aren't cool enough to laugh that off. Such is the power of Nagash.
if i didnt hate his model, id probably run teclis. and in the end times, tbf if i had the ability to drop a single warhammer ogre into a fight at will, id definitely abuse it. just throw that "to whom it may concern" and magically leg it.
How to Teclis in Immortal Empires: Start as Kroq-Gar & become frens. If you're nice, you can give him a settlement every now & then as a little treat :)
Warhammer is one of the few settings I can say I like Elves in. They're still subpar to Dwarves and Humans but way better than Elves of other settings.
Had an full on god of magic cast Power Word Kill on him (and also an combo Lumineth/CoS artillery barrage) and lived (as much as a skeleton can "live"). Such is the Power of Nagash!
If you put Teclis in a room with Magnus they would become best friends and share all their nerd knowledge until one of them lets slip their opinion of chaos and it becomes reeeaaal awkward

Wait does that apply to the Slann? Or do you convert Slann jewelry to pointy hattedness to compare them?
@@Never_heartthe Slann have many very pointy jewels. This means that they have many times more hats than any elf wizard.
Slaan pointy hats are so big many natives of the Warhammer world mistake them for cities.... Pointy ones...
@OHGAS My hat was too big so I made it float and use it as a chair.
Pointy is efficiency in not using too many winds size is power/ more spells more lores

J RR Toilken had it right, "Do not meddle in the affairs of wizards, for they are subtle and quick to anger"
Well they are technically lesser angels and one doesn't mess with an angel.
Unless your name is Gotrek, in which case you can do whatever you want and anyone who tries to stop you dies.
@khylerbane4523, except you know, dying, like he wanted
Gotrek actually learned that Teclis is a god now and he’s reaction was word for word: “I think I just discovered what’s gone wrong in this world.”
Least based Gotrek moment.
By Sigmar I hate elves.

Wrong twin.
Not mentioned: Teclis killed his own niece(tyrions daughter) to resurrect Nagash, and Tyrion is apparently the bad guy for snapping from this lmao
Duh fuq?
I mean, the video does mention it - of course, it's overshadowed by the overwhelming rage at End Times being End Times.

Teclis on Ulthuan: a morbid elf.
Teclis on Empire human women: jackpot!
Years later: A number of half-elven families increased in recent years.
Teclis be like "the age of gods is over" *becomes a god*
"power word what" is now fixed in my vocabulary
Would like to see Techless visit Sigmar, see a random Stormcaster and then yell down to Goderick saying “hey I found him!”
I am a casual when it comes to warhammer but I think Teclis is my favorite character now. Such is the power of Nagash.
