Man you gotta love how much 50 appreciates what Em did for him and he's not afraid to say it and be called an Uncle Tom or bs like that. They went to war together from the jump with Murder Inc. and Benzinio and never had a public falling out, how often do you see that in hip hop?

I think 50 cent needs to take more credit for his album and success. I understand that EM helped him but his album is top 5 all time. Every song was so good then his attitude. He was genius and took over hip hop. Good to see that his friendship with EM hasn’t changed.

I think your taking what he says out of context he knows his album is a classic but the facts are real if he signed to any other labels he would have been shelved an there wouldn't have been a album cuz Irv Gotti had all the labels black balling 50 after he got shot an was coming back that's why he signed to EM cuz Em was about 50 an his music not the street shit or the other shit at the time 50 was writing for Diddy an Diddy got shook then jamaster j got killed an they thought that was part of the 50 shit at the time but it wasn't then he released the ghetto Quran an that put the street shit on wax even though it was already known that's why he holds em to a high standard cuz he let 50 be 50 an backed his every move from jump an he was the biggest artist at the time an didn't have to take that on but jumped in feet first an rose that shit with 5th tell the wheels fell off

    • @Kim-rf5et
      @Kim-rf5et ปีที่แล้ว +6

Em stuck his neck out for 50 Dre didn't want him. Shady took on the responsibility. And being co signed by Eminem gets you a long way. Just like Dre co signing Em. Em has classic albums that sold more even so to me they both have classic albums Em has more than one. Get rich or die tryin is the best album he ever did and Em was on some of those songs. I think him showing love for Em just shows their friendship. Em would do anything for 50 and color meant nothing to either of them which makes it even more meaningful

What he meant was Em was the difference between him getting 12 mil sales instead of 5mil sales. He meant that part of his success on his albums was due to him being able to have access to an audience who otherwise wouldn't have listened to him. He inherited alot of Em's fans.

50s a big, tough, smart, rich, famous, good looking guy who can rap his ass off. His humility in spite of all of that is his most endearing quality, & ought to be emulated by all celebrities & everyone else, for that matter. Eminem has always matched 50s respect 100% & has always shown the same sort of deference when dealing with Dre.

So as someone who sits on the other side of the world, who grew up pushing Eminem and 50 out into the world (and yes it was a REAL fight just to get them out there), I can actually shed some light on their global success and why they were successful when they went global and why a LOT of these newer artists just aren't cutting it globally as well as Eminem and 50 had their success. I'm talking about sell out global tours here, crossing genres of people (hell I was a country/pop/soul girl so I can tell you where that appeal was and why it happened), and not on the same level as groups like Queen for example but they paved their own path here. It started with Eminems rap about his Mother, he was unbelievably real in what he was telling the world and it was relatable. He didn't do it in a way to say 'i'm going to litterally kill my Mum', but he did it in a way that speaks volumes to those of us who had someone in their lives who... well messed them up far to much. Eminem was lucky enough, to be played via an underground music scene here in Australia (by the way, if you want global success, you need to be able to tackle Aussies, if we smell ANY bs in your music then we aren't going to help you in anyway shape or form... if you can't be real with your music we KNOW you aren't being real), and just happened to be heard by a group of kids who weren't supposed to hear his music because of 'moderation' content. In other words, his lyrics were deemed to be of Mature 18+ standard, which means he got no real air time because of that rating. To cut a long story short, we'd play Eminems music during lunch breaks, with our friends and often other kids across the age spectrum. This went on for weeks and months, by the end of the first year his song still kept him at the top 10, until his first global song hit number one on this underground music, from there he proceeded to hold a record number of weeks which then meant he needed a 'radio' friendly version of his song. From there, he went global because it started being played to ALL global ethnicities on a regular basis, at one stage his music was being played atleast 6 times a day throughout the day. When he brought 50 along with him, now that.. took him from strength to over whelming strength. 50 then started to make his own waves now that he'd been brought global.

50 did have a point with the way Em and Pac looked at things.
In one way, it appears that one expected more of their mom, while the other was excepting of the life their mom had to give.
I was excepting of my mom and her situation until about 6 months ago. It took me to the age of 46 to open my eyes to how my mom didn't do what she could have. She wasn't there for me when I needed good life advise. Because she didn't live a life of good decisions herself. Not at all. Now, her decisions have effected me in a negative way and her problems have become mine. I'm to the point of cutting her out of my life to improve my life.
This should have been easier to see and I should have seen it at an early age, but my love for my mom and my stubbornness to not allow myself to be true to myself about it has let this tentativeness to be in my life for much longer than it should have.
I feel like this may be the case for those born and raised in a culture that's bad for them, yet they have blinders on to it and will defend it even when others show them facts that prove it's detrimental to their lives.

2pac n Eminem have different styles but both styles just draws you to there music. They are 2 special artists n the best in there field for different reasons. Eminem is a word smith who has been able to spit any type of flow at any speed n can destroy anyone in a battle. He is a true artist n will go against any challenger n has destroyed every past opponents career. He is unmatched n a goat for sure.
Now the only other artist who is ranked just as highly as Eminem is 2pac. 2pac created songs with so much feeling n deep meaning such as Dear mama n then make a dis that is pure gangster rap such as Hit en Up. N when Pac made a track u can feel his emotions at that time which was usually about real stuff he either went through or knew he was facing. N he never cared he wouldn't back down from anyone n made it known. N he made tons of songs cause his music was his release n his voice to the world.
Eminem n 2Pac are the best to ever touch a mic 🎤

Yes Steve you're right man. If you take the struggle out of people's lives you very well don't get the same person like Eminem is a good example also not necessarily gang related stuff but all that pain and no balance in his life it it can definitely make or break you but it has also given us hip hop and and a lot of great characters and people and athletes throughout history. If you take it out of some lives you don't have some of the athletes that you have doesn't mean good athletes still don't exist Michael Jordan came from a good family Kobe Bryant came from a good family so one doesn't mean the other but I'll tell you for sure there's a lot of cases that you would have a different outcome. If 50 Cent was adopted at 2 years old to go live in the quiet suburbs with church going people that don't believe in violence or cursing or gambling or anything really other than Church I bet a lot of money says we wouldn't know who Curtis 50 Cent Jackson is so just depends there's a lot of variables

I get what he's saying, it's not saying that they can't connect to it but the expectation of each America is portrayed differently, so you would expect the happy white family too. Not have any issues and everything be okay and with the black family it's kind of like expected that you're going to have drug issues but you did your best

I wonder if he’s showing removing free speech doesn’t just effect one type of person. It can effect everyone including billionaires.
Maybe not. But the conversation is happening though now. If a billionaire can lose it all. What makes the average person think they could do if they say the “wrong thing”

People get confused with being related to someone. Not everyone have to relate to everything they listen to it could simply be just sympathy and recognition they feel towards an artist, at least that is how I pursue to listen to music. Dont care who plays it where. clubs, relativity or any other factors are irrelevant if you love someone you love someone.

This is dumb to say, because im just stirring the pot.. lol. But in "many men" he said "cause I'll come and take ya life away" lol. But, for real, 50 is awesome, and im glad we have him in music and in the world. He's very intelligent, and it sucks that people who don't know wouldn't know this. GRoDT was one of the very few albums in rap where you could, and still can, listen front to back and not find a bad song. One of the best albums of all time imo.

I don’t agree with what 50 said at all about the difference between the two tones between Em & Pac either Stevie. I don’t feel it’s that cut & dry when you’re speaking on it,I feel the difference truly is not race it’s their own individual upbringings and environments PERIOD! Has nothing to do with race Em had a way more fucked up childhood than Pac and Pac mother in general was a very smart woman she was part of the Black Panthers etc. and also I agree with 50 that Em doesn’t get enough respect within the culture that he truly deserves✍🏽🎯💯(And that’s so dope to see 50 be so wholesome about his & Marshall’s relationship/friendship it’s dope that’s like 50’s family seriously putting Em behind his grandmother is some serious powerful and honorary shit)

You can't say pac childhood was way better. Having a mother as a drug addict they both were physically and mentally abused at some point. You might not can comprehend having a mother addicted to crack. Yes she was able to do wonderful things at times in her life, doesn't take away from the struggle periods and vice versa

Understood. Different time, different era. But it graduated into what is happening now. It was only a matter of time until someone spilled the beans. And now we see what happens to those who rage against the Machine. I support Kanye West and I think he is very brave for speaking his mind. Which is NOT delusional. I have been doing my own forays into such things and am appalled by what I have seen. We have a true Hero here, who stands alone. But he shall gather his army of true believers. I am one of them. November 18th, And the Word of the LORD came to me and said, "There shall be no more human sacrifice from this day forth." Amen.

I don't think color has anything to do with it. I think any kid that was raised like Eminem would feel the same way he did. Mom and dad are supposed to be parents. He had no dad and his mom was a unloving woman, and told him he wasn't going to be anything. Tupac's mom didn't think that about him even her having a drug problem. Eminem's mom was a lot worse of a parent than Tupac's. She's not perfect none of us are, but Tupac's mom at least loved him and cared for him and siblings, EMS mom didn't. Eminem is so successful because he kept it real about what really happened he put his whole life out there. Eminem and PAC are the most real rappers ever
