As a half black man I have to be honest… I have experienced some mild racism in my life from white people but it was always petty and low-scale borderline joking level shit. The REAL racism I’ve experienced is from black people saying I’m light skin and literally shunning me and bullying me for no other reason. One time a dark skinned black woman kept me from getting a job and I ended up working for her competitor who was a white dude! So I always try to stress that black people can and are capable from being just as racist as the people wearing white hoods they condemn all the time!

That’s the sad part… white people have never made me emphasize the “half” but rather in my case it’s always been black people that have made me think that way.

I've got a white father and dark skinned black mother, so I'm a light skinned individual. And I can attest to colourism in the African diaspora in the West. But usually it works in my favour with women, especially in my 20s when I rocked dreads. Something about the dreadlocks and light coloured eyes combo was popping then. But I always had to go overboard to earn my respect from men because of my complexion. Sometimes would be just straight hate. My parents would tell me about them walking me through London and white people daring to spit in my baby carriage too though. My father is from a place Govan in Scotland though, so people had some backlash coming.... 😆. But the systemic racism is always more of a problem.

Im not black but I knew a friend who completely converted to this ideology. You better pause when you see these two dots on your colon
      Fuckin' punks, you wait

@@Sagnasty17 it doesn't change the fact that it's one of the least impressive things he has ever said, following the context of this scenario. If someone said "eminem don't got bars tell me a single eminem bar" or whatever he said and you said this it would be an embarrassment. It would literally make him one of the worst rappers to ever exist if this is what you consider a "bar" for this situation.

    • @Sagnasty17
      @Sagnasty17 ปีที่แล้ว

@Jayden Eveleigh I wouldn't say that if someone asked me his absolute beat bar and he doesn't have one he has 100s. You are taking this way too far. It's just a funny bar, chill out. I've listened ti eminem since I was 9 years old and I'm 29. I never said That's his best, most lyrical, etc.. I just said I like it. Lol Chill.

@@chrishouterman4772 I honestly feel like Lupe is hard to listen to especially if you've seen the Kendrick comparisons unfold along with his fans that always shii on anyone who says Eminem or any rapper is the best. It makes him and his fans seem obnoxious, well at least that's what I've heard.
I, honestly, recently started listening to him because I put the whole Kendrick thing aside and I don't regret it. His music helped me get out of my creative block and reminded me why I listened to Kendrick for inspiration instead of an Eminem or King Los etc. Elite rappers but what Lupe and Kendrick give me is way more than I get from them.

It's interesting cause the list of signed artist to shady are majority black. We got/had:
    50 Cent
    D12
    Obie Trice
    Ca$his
    Bobby Creekwater
    Stat Quo
    Yelawolf
Slaughterhouse *Royce Kxng Crooked Joell Joe Budden
    Westside Boogie
    Griselda (under Shady)
    Conway the Machine
    GRIP
All of them are black minus Joell (puerto rican) and Yela (white)
Biggest success stories from his label are 50 then Yela and Boogie respectfully.
