Honestly jealous this is the only song of theirs you’ve heard so far. They are in my top 5 and incredible live. I think they are playing a few shows upcoming after a long hiatus.
I remember everyone talking about their 2002 album, R. Borlax, when it came out. I got to open for them here in Puerto Rico in 2005 and it was such a fun show.
I saw them play with Dragonforce in 2006 in DC at the 9:30 Club. That was a fun show and it was the first time I heard Horse the Band. Some might see the 8bit sound as a gimmick, but I thought they fit it very well into their sound.
I know you get a lot of song recommendations but I would love to hear what Judson has to say about 'Xanthochroid - Of Aching Empty Pain' as the song is quite smooth, melodic, epic & theatrical but also has a minute-long piano segment which I feel like Judson would really appreciate
I've seen this band so many times lol. It's always fun. They are just so different. I was big into them and Genghis Tron back in the day. Every album they have is fantastic.
Honestly I'd love to hear more from you guys on the topic of AI and it's influence on our daily life, maybe even through the prism of The Abysmal Eye by Meshuggah, it's been a minute since you both watched Demiurge.
Love this band. Been a fan since like '06. Their latest album, Desperate Living is one of the best releases of the 2000's imo Please cover anything from Caladan Brood's 'Echoes of Battle', I suggest the title song, 'City of Azure Fire' or 'Book of the Fallen' Also recommend Emyn Muil, 'Turin Son of Hurin', 'Arise in Gondolin', 'Ar-Pharazon', 'Heading Eastward' or 'Where the Light Drowns' Vehemence - Par Le Sang Verse Belore as well, 'Valley of the Giants', 'Artefacts of Power' or 'Battle for Therallas'
Wow, what a coincidence! I hadn't thought about HtB for about 15 years, and then they suddenly popped into my mind just a couple of days ago. Thank you. Now I'm almost certain that someday I'll see you discussing a song by Deathspell Omega.
Now do Birdo or Cutsman! Saw these guys live in Houston ages ago it feels like, and they put on an amazing show for sure. Hadn’t thought about them for so long, but I’m about to go make a HTB playlist on Spotify thanks to this video 😂
So, that was pretty f√€kin rad, and i dont know how i missed it when it was new. Reminded me of Ghenghis Tron a bit, whom y'all should definately feature.
Man this brings back memories. The album that “Shapeshifter” is on was on nonstop play in my car on CD form for awhile.. NINTENDOCORE is a great word but I understand why they don’t like it. But on that other record they literally have samples that sound just like centipede etc
Ok, now you’re ready for some Dillinger Esc Plan, Rolo Tomassi, Enter Shikari, The Number Twelve Looks Like You, Daughters etc. Mathcore is a helluva genre
I saw this band in 2006 at Sounds of the Underground near San Antonio Tx. They didn't really perform good live man. But the band that played after them. Through the Eyes of the Dead was fuckin brutal! Check out Abyssal Creation! Blew my head when i heard that live! Also saw Gwar that concert too while Brokie was still alive!
Hmm i'm thinking about showing you a song with a precise lyrics content and great vocalisation... The song is called "A Gluttonous Abomination" by a band Acrania - there was a lyric video in the past which was well made, but it is deleted unfortunately :(... But still, it is truly an insightful masterpiece. I remember people laughing at this band back in the time beacuse of the topics it touched, but after covid it changed to appreciation - why? You'll get it once you listen to whole album called "Totalitarian Dystopia" :) I think you'll both have a great conversation after that since it is just that precise and open, no place for over-interpretation, pure honesty with solid metal music skills involved 🔥
Wow...Horse The Band! I did not expect to see that reaction video at all.
these guys are so underrated

Omggg Horse the Band!! It’s been a minute lol…I love all the 8 bit sounds they use
A lot of memories listening to/watching this band perform. Blast from the past
I miss this band so much! Good pick.
Insanely good pick. Love Horse the Band
I haven't thought about this song or album in a million years. Nice

The song is about The Sentry, a god-like super hero was forced to forget who he was and that he had powers.
BEST Band Ever! Their Documentary World Tour is a laugh for the next Album, also Alan Watts conversation ✨👌🏼
whoever recommended this song is wild, this band is the gnarliest band ever (not kidding)
Lets open a mathcore era of Great Measures already 🤩

Ghengis Tron was awesome. I was fortunate enough to see them a couple times. I wish they were still making music.
The small 8 bit chiptune part from 6:14 to 6:25 sounded a bit like the music from the first level of the NES game Bionic Commando.
Honestly I'd love to hear more from you guys on the topic of AI and it's influence on our daily life, maybe even through the prism of The Abysmal Eye by Meshuggah, it's been a minute since you both watched Demiurge.
Horse the band fucken rules🤘
And they released like a 100 hour dvd of their world tour that is awesome. The video of the wild show in Russia (I think) is hilarious.

The song “The Black Hole” from that same album is my favorite song of theirs and a great representation of them.
Lord Gold Throneroom is a great song by this band
Yesssss

Judsons piano intro reminded me of Prince of Persia: Warrior Within - Installation Music. wicked
Nice! I love that!
Richard always looks so perturbed to have to listen to Jutson's piano intros
Right!? I mean, I have to be subject to his music every video too! Let’s get him…

Went in 2005 around Chicago on my birthday. Had the pleasure of seeing Gwar, but SYL definitely stole the show. No HTB that year.
Judson should do a solo version of the main theme from the movie The Parallax View 👍
Im really surprised you didn't know Horse the Band! They have some great albums, even the one all about pizza.
I mean..."I Think We are Both Suffering From the Same Crushing Metaphysical Crisis" or "Sex Raptor" would be nice reactions 😄

U guys should do HORSE the song next. The 2009 Desperate Living album is the best in my opinion. More mature in a sence...
agreed, that album is really good
Please do From A Second Story Window 😃🤘🏻
Mixed of lamb of god and mastodon
been following you for quite Long time found a band called " THE 500 " new world . would be good to see your reaction

No way…
Not familiar with this band.
Day 37 of asking for Diablo Swing Orchestra.
If you like Horse The Band, you'd like the band Sky Eats Airplane.
I forgot all about Sky Eats Airplane LOL.... this post is great
