    I use a lead lifters or a lead with 'fins' over rocks. Great for bringing the lead back across the surface. Also a pulley rig keeps the fish below the weight. Nice video!

    • @SaltwaterAngler
      @SaltwaterAngler  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ahh yes lead lifters ! Used those to good effect on deeper rock marks , I remember as a kid using them in Ireland and Wales . Thanks for commenting again Kerry

    If it makes you feel any better I had 37 whiting in a 3 hour beech session on the 12th only way I found to avoid them was using them as bait 😣

    You guys have it good down south in bass season but you really struggle this time of year! This is my favourite time of year up north for codling.

    • @SaltwaterAngler
      @SaltwaterAngler  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Indeed , a codling would be amazing here, although I have a bass to show you in the next video. We get a run of codling in early spring that can last for as long as 2 days they come in then out and don’t get seen again

    • @Alexxx---101
      @Alexxx---101 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@SaltwaterAngler Nice catching a bass in January - very welcome but few and far between. Honestly I can catch codling from November to April up here in north Yorkshire if you know where to fish. And there's even one mark I know of that you can fish all year round and catch codling if you get the right tide and wind direction. Now that does feel weird catching codling on a summers day. Or at least it does for me as I'm a southerner - grew up fishing southend on the pier.
