To all of you pointing out "no shit, killing blow kills" - yes, but the Tau are likely specifically referencing the (showcased) use of one of their tactical doctrines, Mont'ka, (aka killing blow), rather than plainly stating that "humans die when killed".
Waiting to strike until they are in the right position isn’t even Mont’ka realistically its one of the other many strategies they employ but out of the main two its closer to Kauyon anyways
Funny that the Krieger isn't using a shovel at the end, but everyone almost universally accepts that it is a shovel. The fan base clearly knows better than GW
Funnily enough, the Mont'ka (Killing Blow in English) is absolutely terrible against Kriegers, because it relies on swift precise destruction of the strongest enemy forces, and then mopping up the remainders. The Kriegers have no strongest units, they are just really numerous

Actually I'm pretty sure that is the same guy. Who's gonna survive? The one taking plasma shot or the one shoved away? If anything it's kinda embarassing for that Tau
Hate to be that guy but the "Killing Blow" is a maneuver or whatever the tau use, its when you wait for the right exact precsice time to strike that will prove the most fatal to the enemy. Like a Samurai waiting for the right exact time to swing for that fatal attack. Basically, she is saying humans die easily when caught off guard/suprized/attacked decisively
It’s a translation of the word mont’ka it’s a tau word defining their strategy, the killing blow is when the tau bait a group into a predetermined killing area, like how the stealthsuit tau did with the dead tau, then attacked all at once giving the humans no time to react
@@Lordmun445 What you described, the act of baiting enemies into a prepared ambush zone, is actually Kauyon. Mont'Ka is actually the opposite doctrine, which is offensive action targeting carefully chosen targets in the enemy force. Thus, based on that line of dialogue calling it a Killing Blow, what was shown in the short film wasn't a baited ambush.. it was a direct attack. Meanwhile, although the Krieger would not use the term (it would be Heresy), his maneuver would be classified as Kauyon by the Tau. He took up a concealed position while the Tau attacked, and when they let down their guard in the aftermath of victory, he ambushed the battlesuit from behind and provided a short lesson in close combat education. No offense intended, just letting you know.

To all of you pointing out "no shit, killing blow kills" - yes, but the Tau are likely specifically referencing the (showcased) use of one of their tactical doctrines, Mont'ka, (aka killing blow), rather than plainly stating that "humans die when killed".

It’s a translation of the word mont’ka it’s a tau word defining their strategy, the killing blow is when the tau bait a group into a predetermined killing area, like how the stealthsuit tau did with the dead tau, then attacked all at once giving the humans no time to react
@@Lordmun445 Wow I didn't know about this thanks for the information bro, I probaly have to read more books. But still I find it hillarious.
