Nice couple of sessions my self Saturday and yesterday, afternoon incoming tide at Aberystwyth. Saturday a dozen Whiting (still here), 4 Dogs and a Dab, surprising as it started overcast and first 2 fish in 10 minutes, a hour and half then went clear sky and beating sun so catch rate slowed. Sunday overcast, thought would be same as 2 fish in 10 minutes but was not too be, was a bit calm I think compared to Saturday. Still ended with 3 Whiting a Dogfish and my first Blonde Ray, only small (19inches across) but a nice surprise, fought a bit as well. Will be trying Wednesday outgoing morning/afternoon tide is the next plan.
What sort of distance do you generally chuck baits out to from the beach? Used to fish Eastbourne beaches as a kid in the 90s and it always seemed to be about how far out you could put a bait. Is it really necessary?
Nice and peaceful session, are you going down to fish mixed ground marks anytime soon, like holywell/grand hotel area for bass, I do know some good marks down there that produce on the big spring tides.
Airpower435 SRS one of the best rods out there m8. I've got the 3 piece with the airloop R8. Hope you're all good. Cheers Paul. Out with GG On Saturday. 🎣🎣🎣
Awesome again Jason and Cliff never had May rot in my teens fishing going 2 have a fish this evening been a few Australian salmon showing up not the best eating fish unless u smoke them a good fighting fish will take fish baits but lures take them as well .Happy catching from Australia Nick
Cheers nick yeah it gets pretty bad here for a few weeks inshore then when it clears the fishing should be ace, fingers crossed, the salmon sounds ace wishing you a successful trip mate :=)

Depends if it's day or night
During day usually as far as poss then work the cast back
I'm no expert tho lol
At night I tend to fish shorter

I was there today 12-20, for the first time I didn't even have a single bite 😆
Crazy how a few days difference can make, how was the tide pull when you went?
@@TheEastbourneFisherman
From 2 hours before low water until high tide ( low tide 0.78 and high tide 3,85)
Was your line getting pulled to one side fast

Hi mate I'm really enjoying it tbh it's so much smoother and less floppy than the 3pc rod only downside is size as it a 2pc lol
