Just discovered your channel! Love it! Yes, as someone who has both and has jobs where I use my hands a lot, Garmin over estimates steps and Oura is closer to actual steps.
I also have the Oura (gen2) and Fenix 6s pro. Both are great, and for me the Oura is way more accurate for sleep, stress and all the health stuff. So i kinda only need the Garmin for notifications (call and text), alarms and workouts. On the flipside: my wife finds her Garmin very accurate, so your results may vary :)
I’ve had a few Garmins, including fenix, but the forerunner 265 is my current go to. It’s highly accurate, presentation, and interpretation of data seem on point to me. Nothing better for running and sleep tracking. I’ve tried the Oura gen 3 and find it less reliable (eg sleep stages not as accurate as garmin) but that may be my own personal experience.
I don't really have interest in it because I'm probably going to go with the epix and I'm more looking at the ring. Which I appreciate the video! But with the solar on your watch I have the non solar. Does it work when the watch is off to charge it? I could see a very limited use case where you could have your watch dead and charge it to get the GPS working to find your way home But I was just curious if it would be like a one-day charge just to get 1 hour out of our GPS. 😂

I appreciate your input and experience! Thank you!
Ah thuis video is what I was looking for. Thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
How does your garmin do with your tattoos? My current tracker can't see through my wrist tattoo and I have to wear it on the inside of my wrist.
I’m a lefty also. Doesn’t the tattoo interfere with the heart rate sensor?
I haven’t had an issue with that! As long as it’s kept clean it’s been fine 👏🏼

I appreciate your insight on the forerunner Scott!! Might have to grab that one once my Fenix kicks the bucket 👏🏼
When I was a runner I loved my garmin 265 and that’s what my college track/XC team used for running!
Are you wearing the ring on the right finger?

I don't think it can charge via solar from an empty state..
@@alexands1 darn haha would be a good idea if their new line does.
If you had to choose one, which would it be?
Oura!!
you want wellness or fitness? oura fitness is trash
The part that drives me away from Oura is it subscription fee
Yeah it’s a bummer that they have that now
that will bring alot of updates and new features.
Do you suggest the index finger vs the middle finger for lifting weights?
I alternate between both tbh!!
i dream of your resting heart rate
😂 I’m honored
