In 7th grade, I was in a small girls' ensemble in choir and in the spring we did "Can't Back Down." With the choreography. Needless to say.....cringe.
EDIT: Great to know over 1.8K of you like my middle school cringe. I'll add to it; for the concerts, we had a choir t-shirt and that year it was this bright neon-green and on it was the phrase
"To sing with us, you gotta be good.
To compete with us, you gotta be tough.
To beat us, you gotta be kidding."
....We weren't even in competitions.
So we had to wear that. And then for "Can't Back Down," we had to wear that AND a black, fingerless, fishnet glove. Not even two of them, just a single black fingerless fishnet glove on one arm.
I swear, each time I cringe at it, it takes six months minimum off of my lifespan.

ok but they completely changed the way the did music in the two movies camp rock one focused on incorporating music INTO the movie while camp rock two just had them do musical numbers that had nothing to do with the movie lol

Yes! That’s why I prefer the first movie. The music was part of the story and it made sense when they did musical numbers because we assume that they practice before.

It didn’t feel like an actual “camp.” Maybe I’m wrong but I feel like introducing me was the only good song on here, I can actually see someone who likes their crush writing a cute song like that. Everything else though…we don’t talk about that. Well wait a minute, Tear it Down was actually pretty good and definitely better than the song Camp Rock’s song (I can’t even remember it.)
Isn’t that the idea of a musical? Music existed in the first movie as a performance piece. In the second movie, it functioned more like a traditional musical in many places.

Camp Rock 1 was more... authentic. It actually had a storyline. Camp Rock 2 just wanted to focus on the celebrities and songs. The actual story was a backseat. I remember there was a scene where Demi literally asked the kids if they could not be in the competition. Like even as a kid I found that pretty weird.
Even Demi self reacted to this a year ago and was shock on how awkward was it ahahhahhaha
Demi is such an amazing vocalist I’m not even going to deny it they have something special in them!
She's another one of those that's been trained by the church and classical music. Doesn't surprise me.
One thing you can never criticise this movie on is that it follows the forever pledge that every single Disney Channel movie has.
