A good way to judge octave pedals I find is to turn off the Direct signal and try the Oct1 and 2 on their own. Would have been nice to hear that in the vid. Love all the content though, keep 'em coming
I love a good octaver. That sub knob is intriguing. I just wish this came in a version with top jacks. I'd probably consider purchasing it if that were an option.
YO BTW, YO GREGOR! I still miss the Fteletronica Tetractave Analog Octaver in your list!! That Pedal is the best I have ever played and only costs 130€. Tracks perfectly to low G, has two octaves down, has clean mix and octave up. Octave up combined with some wah or phasy thing gives you the most amazing synth sounds... and the guy who makes them is super nice (service-mäßig). Their other pedals are also great and all analog .. and no: I was not paid to say this, but this finally ended my search for the holy lower octave!
I realise i just said this on the Short rather than the full video, but the TC Sub 'n Up is a good one. Modern, well behaved polyphonic tracking mode; vintave BOSS style mode, and a Toneprint that you can download or create your own monster!
Hi! I'm hesitant with the Octamizer V2. Which of the two is the better choice and the more versatile of the two pedals for you? Do you know where you can order it in Europe? Thanks
The true king of octavers would be one that had a knob for “glitch” to control how well it tracks. Like some analogue synths have “slop” or “drift” or “vintage” controls to introduce oscillator instability and randomness. Part of the charm and mojo of the OC-2 and its analog ilk are their glitchiness.
Agreed! I like that TC's Sub n' Up has a modern poly tracking mode but also a vintage mode that sounds more like the BOSS pedals, but a knob where you could go from pristine over to MXR Blue Box fuckery would be brilliant!
Looks interesting! My go to has been the Aguilar Octamizer which to me can do both clean (EBS) and synthy (OC-2) octave sounds well, with solid tracking. Curious how this new one compares
Hi Grigor, love your channel. I have tape wounds on both basses, fretless and P-bass. The octabass doesn’t track perfectly. Is it because of the strings? Maybe this octatron is better… thank you
That has nothing to do with the strings. The truth is, there is no perfect Octaver. Not digital, not analog. If you want to enjoy octavers, you have to embrace their flaws. The OctaTron sounds more organic compared to the OctaBass. Definitely worth a try, but again - better don’t look for perfection
Hi Gregor. I ordered the Octatron after your review. What shall I say, I‘m totally disappointed. The Octaver doesn’t track the tone right at all. I tried 5 different basses (passive and active), was playing with and without compressor in front of the pedal. It sounds not usable if you play tone that will stay alone without very fast playing. OMG a lot of money for a piece of not usable pedal
Did a whole octave video, claiming the Seamoon's "OC-2" heritage, but then don't even bother reproducing the classic OC-2 sound; no dry, no -2, full -1. The tracking is also no better or worse than at least 8-9 other octave pedals on the market. Seeing a more well-rounded review would have been nice; every sound example was a *minor* variation from the others. And yes, before you come at me, I listened on good studio headphones!

I do the same thing 🤘🏻
-2 octave on bass? 😮
@@ОлександрРаєв I don’t use Oct 2 myself but it works well above the 12 fret on 4 string bass

What a ton at 4:10! I love it 😍😍😍😍😍
Thank you for such an Amazing Review of our OCTATRON !!!
Is there a UK distributer? (Andertons? GAK?)
You guys made a super appealing unit!
Seriously, makes me wanna play even more funk!

That pedal does sound great. Kai sounds great too of course.
Literally in the market for an octave pedal. What great timing!
That’s great! I want one…and that Ampeg Sub Blaster!
Great Pedal. Some people will sell their MXR or OC-5. The only thing I don't like is where they placed the 9 V input.
26 seconds in, I think that's the most outrageous example of Bass Face I've seen! Congratulations!
Sounds super clean no glitches at all.

Deutsch als Fremdsprachte hat noch nie so viel Spaß gemacht!
it seems that it is not available in the EU. Does anyone know where i could order it?
kann man das irgendwo in Deutschland bekommen?
looks like the Yellow Submarine from The Beatles!

Aggie is one of the best. Mxr bod for rock. Oc2 for electronic.

You said it's OK at F# and I'm looking for low B 😅😅
I bought one last year to throw on my board, I have it on more often than I have it off! It's part of my secret sauce 😏
Outstanding
What I need an octaver now?! I haven't even got to buying a new Cali76 yet.
does @kailemke2295 has a channel to listen to more of his music?

Really ??? Woww! 😮
I believe it tracks so well because it is all analogue?
Did you ever try the Broughton Synth Voice. It is in no way so good likes the synth voice.
Juicy ❤❤❤❤
Wow! Want.
Would have loved to hear this pedal played through a fretless!
It sounds BEASTLY!!!
We‘ve a second mini review coming out in the next days where Kai played all the sounds with a fretless
@@basstheworldofficial oh my 👀👀👀
Kinda want to know how much I could make things rumble with it with my 5 string in G standard tuning 😂😂😂
So smooth
It’s still ‘funk’ in any language! 🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪
Yeah, but the old Boss OC2 is still the KING! Don't bother with the others, get yourself an OC2.
OC-2 sounds great and unique but the buffer harms your bypassed sound
I love octaves on bass, but soooo many fart out below an open A.
Sure do. And that is about 28 hz and getting close to the human limitation of 20. So I wonder if getting a usable sub on a low E is even possible.
Do NOT buy this pedal direct from Seamoon FX. If you need to make a return they will just ignore all emails and don’t have a phone number to call.
👌😎👍
You can't beat EHX POG2. You just can't.
