Dude used the material from the coin to reshape it into a ring that can be worn to then weld and refine the other pieces that hold the jewels. In other words, craftsmanship.

What is your torch called and where can I buy one?? I have been looking everywhere for something like that. I don’t like having bottled gases in my studio and most that rely on air are not capable of melting very much metal and I have to use a metaling furnace.
