How to make a ring out of a circular coin:
1. Make a hole creating a crude, ring-like object
2. Cut it, change the shape completely into a thin stick, hammer it, heat it, bend it, solder it, file it down, sand it to make it into a ring-shaped object.
Why drill a hole if you were just gonna cut right through it.
