Just spent 2 days testing some V02s on my duc 1098, have to say im pretty happy with em. Mostly that they fit on the bike :p 200/655 is basically the same size as a 180/60 Pirelli.
I have this constant dilemma either to stick with pirelli SC1 or this V02. I have tried the V02 with my previous bikev 2015 S1000RR) and loved it, now im riding an RSV4 with the SC1 and contemplating switching
The front pressure you mentioned @1:19 is insanely low against what we run them at (in the UK) and Bridgestone themselves recommend. It should be 2.3 bar / 33-34 psi hot; the V02s still need pressure to support under braking...?? Otherwise, welcome to Pirelli grip but with twice the laps in them, and a lovely gradual and manageable drop off in grip as you tick off the laps... I often set my best times on worn V02s 😁
Like I said in the video it was much lower then I run the Pirelli and Dunlop slick fronts. This was Bridgestone's North West dealer recommendation due to the extra stiff carcass. Seemed to work fine at a trackday pace.
inside takes most the weight naturally, but we purposely weight outside peg (push down) to control rear slide. More weight, more traction. Slide control
this was filmed back in 2017 or so. So the USA made Dunlops used to have a front tire issue, that caused terrible vibration in the corners, forcing us to run front pressures as high as 38psi to try and prevent. USA Dunlops back then had horrible feel, and caused many crashes, including a torn ac in my shoulder. In the early days Dunlops were all made in the UK titled Ntech, and were a top tier performer. th-cam.com/video/XiUsGS5rSWY/w-d-xo.html see old race at Vegas.
Great video. Very informative. Awesome format. Thanks.
That looks like a beauty track. I just switched to these tires. I love ‘em.

@Irnieracing AMSOIL Synthetics you bet 😂 i ordered anyway as there’s only one way to find out
@Irnieracing AMSOIL Synthetics on another note, as per your review, suspension geometry changes is unnecessary?
@@fahdkamal1420 if that's what I said, I enjoyed the switch immediately with no recognizable geometry issues.
@@irnieracing nice thanks man, subbed

Hey Marcel, always love your videos! Quick question on riding technique tho. Do you weigh your outside/inside peg while cornering? Cheers

You were talking about the VO2 being better than the Dunlop. What Dunlop were you comparing to ?
