I paddle my new Northwind Solo IXP layup canoe by Northstar for the first time with my dog Rudy. We catch some fish and Rudy gets some more experience in the canoe.
Beautiful boat - pondering getting the Trillium in the same layup but with wood. Plan on getting your feet wet if the waters you run in are rocky, else plan on tearing up your boat quickly. Get some water shoes.
from what i on your channle. You're seem really good with wood working and construction. Why don't you try ab build your own canoe? that would be a dream of mine
Funny you say that because I’ve pretty much decided in the last couple weeks that once Iam finishing building my house and then my shop my first project will be a cedar strip canoe👍 I also want to get into paddle building
Hey, just an odd question, I don't know a thing about canoes but the seat thing you have over the webbed seat...was it backwards? Looks like it has a rising section facing the front of the canoe and I was trying to make sense of it. Was that a back support that was flopped forward maybe?

Yes it is a back support that folds forward works very well a lot more comfortable
What’s the cost with your boat?
Thanks 🇨🇦👍
Around $2500 if I remember right
