I would leave flywheel on. The stored inerta helps a LOT with this type of arrangement. Also, need to pully some leverage against the generator. Ideally your PM would be larger diameter coil/rotor assy than the genset.
Or just use gearing ratio to achieve it. But I'd definatly leave the flywheel that likely is adding a lot of run time

you can get the flywheel off by spinning the motor the opposite way the label says. It's only screwed on but it's tight. I would leave the flywheel on though. get some capicitors too. you're running the motors from just the batteries, which will die quickly that wouldn't be called free energy.

If I was to guess if you put 90 volts DC on that treadmill motor you would have 2 horsepower maybe @40amps or more,,, and thank you for enjoying my videos 😀

Cool experiment. I've been looking for videos on estimating the voltage to RPM for these motors, but there's not much out there. Did you record the RPM at 35v?

No I didn't, I need a RPM gauge. The smaller motor runs better at 12 volts which makes the treadmill motor put out 17.5 volts to charge batteries, and it keeps the small motor cooler.

I haven't done full test on it yet, but this system is just to charge a solar system at night before you go to bed.

With four small scooter batteries fully charge my guess that it would run for 45 minutes charging a 4-RV battery bank that was low(11.9volts), but I don't own for RV batteries to do a test just yet.

Also I found out running this setup on 12 v is much more efficient, 24 volts is hard on my motor and charge controller. The little drive motor don't get smoking hot running on 12 volts, and it still puts out 18v DC on the treadmill motor.

I got it on eBay for $40, but they're not always that price, they are usually $60 to $100
