“We’re blessed to be existential because we don’t have to worry about what we’re going to eat today..” some of the realest words spoken in an interview by a celebrity/actor
This is one of the themes of Bela Tarr's Turin Horse - There's a scene where a drunk goes to buy liquor from his neighbors, a family that is struggling to survive (all they are able to consume are just liquor and potatoes). During the purchase, the drunk is just spewing nihilistic thoughts in the form of a long-ass monologue about hopelessness and suffering, which the family are experiencing first-hand. The family just sits there and doesn't indulge in the conversation - they just wait for the guy to finish his speech so he can give them his money. The family, who are the main characters, have the least dialogue in the film. Unlike the drunk, they don't have the privilege of talking about philosophy, since they need to worry about not starving. The film conveys that these thoughts are pointless and don't help anyone in need nor the person expressing these thoughts.

There is something special about Shia LaBeouf - not just as a brilliant talent, but as a person with heart. I am writing a book and every author has that dream that maybe one day it would make that best seller list and made into a move. I would want no one else but Shia to be the lead actor - he has the depth and soul to bring it alive. He is one after my own heart - "original", and not afraid to express his authenticity hoping to make a difference for the better. No other actor comes near him. My only criticism is the swearing - but I am old school. Does not change my deep admiration for Shia - the person. I believe in him.

It is honestly so refreshing to have seen this. I have recently been in the best place I have ever been in my life as well, so this resonated with me. Glad you're doing well Shia.
Robert did a huge turn around after he did Iron-Man. Would we see the same thing if Shia gets the role of Moon Knight? Maybe its his last chance. He is perfect for the role, especially what he has gone through in real life. That would be something else.

I have the upmost respect for Shia. He comes from a background where he can have a certain perspective about how it is to struggle. He didn't allow Hollywood to turn him into something he's not. He's so real because he never forgot where he came from and who helped him on that journey.

The way this man puts ideas together and pieces sentences is unique. I’m not a big movie buff but Transformers was the first movie I can clearly remember seeing in theaters so I’ll always have love for this guy. Never really paid attention to his troubles bc I don’t enjoy feeding off ppls misery for entertainment but I could kinda get this gist of what went on. I’m just glad he found his way. His mind is on a different wavelength, something I hope to achieve when I’m far removed from systematic learning. Stay true Shia, you’ll always have my respect.
Great interview, always felt Shia came across well and it looked like he was in a dark self destructive place for a while there but it’s great to see him healthy, positive and motivated 👏👏
Great interview. Giving back like Shia is doing with his theater company is inspirational. Glad to see he is in positive place to do go work for the community.

Your perception of celebrities is off. Shia is an actual human being not an out of touch materialistic sociopath detached from reality always looking for a mirror or praise. He's just a down to earth, talented dude who cares. Shows you how fucked his peers are.
I’ve always wanted to meet Shia and pick his brain or have a “heart to heart”. I was always on his side whether he felt he wasn’t famous anymore, or his car accidents and fleeing, I’ve never had a negative view on the man. His rap videos, his art exhibit, method acting, his beliefs. Having slap battles and taking a hit. He reminds me a lot of myself. This man is truth. He’s a beautiful soul and wears that shit on his sleeve-and then some. I respect this man and I hope by some chance we can meet, cause I definitely don’t want to abuse what he has going on with Slauson just to meet him. Good lil rant for myself carry on folks

@@gcasillas1213 dude you couldn't be more wrong. You have big issues buddy.
@@ivantheterrrible9213 wow, what a well thought out counter argument...
Wow, and he does all that for free and off his own back?! 😮
He's so well spoken n a genius actor. After all he's been through im happy he is in a good place.God Bless him!!
Love hearing Shia talk about Even Stevens! 💜 So nice to see him doing well. This is quality content!
I've always liked Shia since I was a kid and watched even stevens and Holes
OMG Que la Chingada Cabron.... Mee toooo. Hooyaaahhhh #GoNavy #TeamPapa

SOLID SOLID SOLID. This man is as pure as it gets! So amazing to see videos like this.
I’ve been watching him since the Even Stevens days! Proud that he came out on the other side!
♥️
He’s finally found peace and found a way to give back, he was too misconceived in the public eye, he was just too real for Hollywood
Calm down
RichHomieTom bitch fuck u tom
Pretty sure the litany of reasons people dislike the guy have nothing to do with his realness.
@@ima1flirt "Seems he finally found peace" Yup he did and I guess you did not Nino.
Make Art what does it have to do wid likeness u edyat yute, the guy was never a bad guy but despite his problem, Hollywood turned their backs on the guy
Shia has the street life in his soul and to see him as honest and grounded like he is now its great, much respect to the interviewer job well done.
I appreciate how genuine Shia is. Great interview.
Shia is a really smart guy. He’s a great storyteller and he’s real with himself. He acknowledges his faults and tries to give back. How refreshing!!
"It saved my life, they were throwing dirt on my back". I'm always praying for him and rooting for him. I can't wait for Honey boy to get to my local theater. Peanut butter falcon was amazing.
Ugh. It feels so good to see a great person amplifying that same energy and trying to spread it to others. I needed this today.
Wow he articulated some things I've been thinking about for a while. This was a really cool interview.
A real one. This interview shined a lot of light on him. He seems human like everyone else but he's honest af
This interview oozes the kind of cathartic revelations one can only dream about achieving for yourself. Well done that man!
Thank you Shia for your sincerity and openness about your journey and ability to be humble and forthcoming about your life and career. You're an inspiration to me as human
Best interview I’ve seen in awhile! Great questions, great answers, great all around vibe
It is honestly so refreshing to have seen this. I have recently been in the best place I have ever been in my life as well, so this resonated with me. Glad you're doing well Shia.
hey man i dont know u but it makes me happy to know ur happy
Always thought he was a good actor! Great to see him clear and focused! Great interview!
Shia you truly inspire me, thanks for this interview MTV
Protect this guy.. No Cap
at all costs...
Why not Captain America?
I don't fuck with Captain America..
@Ross Shannon that was a good game of capture the flag. I hope he does it again lol.
This is a very real human being, been through shit and came out the other side. What a good dude.
He lowkey remind me of a young Robot Downey jr, with all the high and lows.
Yes didn't see that til u said it
Robert did a huge turn around after he did Iron-Man.
Would we see the same thing if Shia gets the role of Moon Knight?
Maybe its his last chance. He is perfect for the role, especially what he has gone through in real life.
That would be something else.
Robot Downey jr is iron man’s real name
Both Aries
That's exactly what i've been thinking!
Wish I could be his friend and help that community with him. Honestly, if I lived near where this is, I'd be down there tomorrow offering a hand. Big respect

hes so real oh my god. his transformation is inspiring and what he's doing for the community is so beautiful. wow wow wow i'm amazed by this shia. didn't know i could love him anymore than i already did.
Shia is getting better day by day and I'm so happy to see this
This interview could’ve easily been two hours longer and I would’ve enjoyed the whole thing.
@2sakz mature.
Watch him in the big boy interview. Good interview as well
2sakz 😂😂😂😂
Joe Rogan where are you?
Joe Rogan needs to interview him
I've been dealing a lot with metal health issues lately. Always love seeing someone getting their shit together but also in an amazing giving back way. Awesome guy. Great video, thank you.
I have the upmost respect for Shia. He comes from a background where he can have a certain perspective about how it is to struggle. He didn't allow Hollywood to turn him into something he's not. He's so real because he never forgot where he came from and who helped him on that journey.
“You can’t meet a God as a human, that God will eat you. Find the God in you”
Those are some beautiful words Shia.
Why are my posts being copied verbatim?

So I ate the god then? So basically eat or be eaten
@abortioncritical Would you care to relax? I mean shit buddy, it's just a comment. You seem hyper pissed about it.
Pretty sure I’ve eaten a goddess before
Really good interview. Great interviewer and Shia is a really cool dude, I remember watching Even Stevens as a kid and seeing Shia grow into a really mature person is great
An amazing interview! I have watched Shia's career from the start. I am proud of the work he is doing in a disenfranchised community.
Beautiful man with a beautiful soul! My first and forever crush
Man.
So many memories of Saturdays mornings watching Even Stevens at 11AM before I go outside to play.
I love what you have to say, and I'm so glad someone is standing up for the arts! My son needs see part of this thank you again 🤗👏
Shia is so true to himself. Man has reached Mike Tyson level of self-awareness

This made me cry, but like in a good way. Loved everything about this interview!
Сусанна Карибова SAME!
He looks like a Bum
Great interview. Giving back like Shia is doing with his theater company is inspirational. Glad to see he is in positive place to do go work for the community.
is it too much to ask this guy to take over all interviews on TV? Dude's amazing at it. Also you could tell shia has been through a lot. Good for him to be able to find peace and happiness in giving back.
This is an amazing interview coming from MTV. My younger cynical self would have immediately discounted this. God Bless Shia, Josh, & MTV for sharing his Story🤧
I like to see Shia doing well. Broken but still in the fight and soooo talented.
Who broke him? Us.
@@mcrettable facts. People really mentally tortured him for every single thing
He ain’t broken!! He solid as can be!! He just ain’t selling soul to Hollywood. He loves acting and theater, that’s his passion. He still living his passion!! Solid person. Can’t wait for that movie Tax Collector..
Your perception of celebrities is off. Shia is an actual human being not an out of touch materialistic sociopath detached from reality always looking for a mirror or praise. He's just a down to earth, talented dude who cares. Shows you how fucked his peers are.
@@highlyopinionated Fact.
Well spoken. Shia is just what the people of the world need.they need to see that genuine people , who treat everyone with respect still exist. And it warms my heart just to know that he was put on this earth and isnt taking life for granted.
Honey Boy was an amazing movie, Shia is extremely talented. It's really inspiring how he used his time in rehab to create a masterpiece.
I'll be your friend, bro. Keep getting stronger.
Shia is down to earth af and seems to have life in perspective. Love that guy
