How To NOT Paint Plastic Trim | 1998 Honda Civic Coupe EK/EJ8

In todays episode! I’m attempting to paint the license plate facia on the boot lid the same colour as the body of the car. It was quite challenging to say the least. But, I got there in the end with terrible results. If you learn anything from this video, it should be to take anything you want painted to a professional, and don’t do what I did. I know what you're thinking! "why is this idiot building a crappy Honda Civic 20 years too late?". Well, to answer that question, we have to go back to the good old days of cheap Japanese cars.
You know what... I'm not going to sit here and justify my reasons. I just want to. That's my reason! I love these cars. I've had 2 hatchbacks before this coupe. I absolutely loved driving them. They are so much fun.
I've always wanted to build a really clean example, and now I have the means to do so (sorta). So, that's exactly what I'm going to do.
In saying that. The reason I want to document the build process on TH-cam, is to see if I can do it on my own, with the tools and space I have available to me. Hopefully, it will inspire others to do the same. The goal is to prove you can build a car at home with limited resources, with a little bit of determination, ingenuity, and trial and error.
Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy another TH-cam Honda Civic build. I'll try my best not to make it the same as everyone else's.

*Scuff
*Clean
*Wax and grease remover
*Heat up the surface and the cans
*Plastic primer dust coat
*Light grey 1k primer with warm cans and warm surface
*alloy to dry over night at least*
*sand primer with 1000grit
*clean -wax and grease- heat up cans and surface
*you can either then spray 2k colour or an acrylic base coat then a 2k clear
Allow to dry at least one day

Thanks for putting that in the comments. At least someone knows what they're doing. I'm gonna leave the paint to the professionals from now on. At least until I get some more practice.
