    We will be starting the live Class on January 14th on the second channel. you can find plans and supplies needed here. www.woodbywright.com/shop
    P.S. I realize I used glue on the bottom panel. It is not needed and I will be talking about several other options in the full build series. I decided to leave it in this video as it was part of the discussion in the build class.

    • @WoodByWright
      @WoodByWright  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There are a few places that still make them decently. Unfortunately they are around 35 to $40 for each bit. Usually I buy them at antique stores and MWTCA tool meets. I have a list of all the places I normally go to for hand tools if you go to handtoolfinder.com

      @@WoodByWright Thanks for the reply. One more question. The vintage bits have a taper on the end. I don't own a brace yet either. Does the taper fit past the jaws? could you use straight shank bits in a vintage brace, or do they only take tapered bits? thanks!

    James do you find the dimensioned lumber from Menards to be pretty square out of the package. I know on the first thing I ever built I used the oak from there and had a couple boards with large bows....

    • @WoodByWright
      @WoodByWright  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I usually have to pick through the stock to get a couple pieces that I like. I don't get much from there but it is very convenient sometimes I just need that piece.
