Thank you for posting. You comment about step stairs resonated. I walked Shikoku earlier this year. With US sized 15 shoes. Getting a foothold on those crooked irregular aligned stairs up (and worse down) was tricky. I want to walk Kumano Kodo when I return
We walked the Camino de Santiago in Spain and wanted to be a dual pilgrim,my question is do you register first that you’re a dual pilgrim or after or the last shrine?
There is no registration to be a dual pilgrim. You visit the Camino office after you finish walking. I have not gotten my dual pilgrim certificate yet but I did finish both walks so when I return I'll take my dual passport in and get the certificate.
I am enjoying watching this as i am planning to do this to get my duel pilgrim passport. What was the name of the accomodation if you would recommend it :) Also did you do luggage transfer or you walked with everything on your back. Thank you in advance for your help.
We carried everything. Gosh, I don’t remember the name of the accommodation we stayed in. Good luck planning your trip! I’m sure they will all be just fine!
Thank you for the nice video. Do you think hiking from Takijiri to Chikatsuyu is doable in one day, or is that too grueling? Would you still recommend staying in Takahara?
Could be. I hope my choice of music is not culturally insensitive. I don’t mean to offend anyone. In my Spain videos I’ve used Brazilian music and so far nobody’s commented on it.

Very excited to see these videos posted! thanks
Good luck, we look forward to seeing the path in Japan together with you
I did the Kumano Kodo after the Camino. Such a different experience. I actually found it much more spiritual and challenging. Enjoy.
I'm from Japan, very good 👍 to the video
Thank you!
I’m leaving for the trail this week. Was it very cold? Do you have any last minute recommendations? I need a place in Takahara!
Sorry I missed this comment. Have fun!

Maybe for someone who is really fit. That’s a long hike and it’s mountainous terrain.
Thank you for your input. I am not a hiker like you but I am training now, months in advance of the hike. ♥️
Music sounds like Chinese…
