Remember: the goal of Adam's story is to keep the star immunity gene so you can unlock round ears once you get back to the home island! If you don't keep the gene you can't rejoin Adam's tribe.

I did an Adam legacy that revered Adam's looks and selectively bred to keep his fangs and stripes in the tribe. It's so hard Seri, you will be 20 gens in before you get home. May the star of Adam guide your path.

I have hundreds of gameplay hours but never reached Home Island!

Seri, just so that you know, you need “Home Island” immunity gene in order to be accepted by Adam’s family. Otherwise, not happening.
Also lesson learned if you give any member by sandbox mode Star imunnity you will not be allowed

I’ve never been able to finish Adam’s Journey. I die before I can get there. The longest I’ve gone is 134 days. My last Nicheling was a male named Gorge. He had grey fur with light brown speckles. He had beautiful white ram horns. His eyes were blue and he was a strong fighter, but couldn’t collect berries. I ran out of food so he couldn’t make it. But because he survived much longer than expected he became a God in my Nicheling Pantheon. He became the God of Perseverance and Survival.
I have a goddess of perseverance and survival in my pantheon too

Lynxe Aw. But that’s adorable! I’ve been playing Niche for a while and so far I only have two gods. I’ve seen many interesting characters but not many are as unique as some others. My second is a Goddess named Nois. She was a pale grey furred and white antlered Nicheling with bright green eyes. She is the Goddess of Fertility and Motherhood, for she had two sets of twins one after the other. She cared and protected all the young Nichelings, and gave up her life to protect a newborn who’s mother could attack the Bearyena.
*Go north!* Also, Seri, you need to ***keep home island inmunity*** throughout the generations! (star one). If you loose it and get to home island, the family of Adam will not recognize you and will attack you, instead of welcoming you.

You only need one nicheling to have it when you arrive tho, so don't stress to much, as long as one or two have it its okay. Max points If you have a sickly home immunity nicheling, they can breed with whoever and guarantee it passes on.

@@Bunny_CatGamingYTAdam has it and to keep it you need to make sure to breed him/the offspring that carry it enough for it to stay in the genepool.
How many with it you "need" probably depends on your preferred tribe size and how many immunity gene's you've collected, but I'd avoid putting all your eggs in one basket so try having 2-3 at least.
For me the journey took well over 1000 days and my final nichelings had mega horns, big ears, saber fangs/bird beaks, armored body, double bearyena claws and hammer/scorpion tail. I never would've played niche if not for your videos so thank you for introducing me and so many others to this wonderful game ^^

Oh, I'm so excited that you're finally trying out Story Mode, Seri! I have a feeling this is going to be a very enjoyable series, and I hope it keeps going until you reach the Home Island! I've seen a couple of other comments mention this already, but keeping that Home Island Immunity in the family is going to be *very* important for later, keep that in mind!
As for how my family looked when I made it to Adam's home island, his descendants looked drastically different! We had wings, purr snouts, prehistoric genes and all kinds of other wacky genetics I couldn't have imagined when I first began my journey! I'm interested to see what genetics get woven into your Niche family as well
Did you begin to develop a culture with your nichlings as you travelled? Something about this game lends to the most organic and unique story telling experiences.
I ended up having arranged marriages basically and breeding cycles (we were on the ice island)
All the eligible mates were sent to the top of the mountain and were paired off. Then they went to separate corners, made their families and the cycle started again. It was a very ingrained tradition by the time we left the island.

Well I just started the story mode again today :3 And like the mot comments here I will tell you, that you should keep the home island immunity until you reach the home island and you should always take the north port on an island (alternative the right port if there is no north port).

Seri I can't believe your finally doing Adams Quest! I've been waiting for such a long time
My biggest suggestion for Adam's quest is first keep that star gene, you need it to win. Inbreeding double star babies can help if you have a hard time getting it to pass to offspring. Second always go to the north port and if there isn't one then the port on the right, that is the fastest way home. The left ports take you to an easier island and can make finding your way back kind of hard so only use them if your tribe is basically dieing.

This is so funny! I literally just finished Adam's Journey and got the Homecoming award. To answer your question Seri, it takes a long time to reach the home island. It will definitely be one of Adam's distant, distant relatives. Also one of the goals is to keep the home island immunity in the family. If you lose it, then you cannot regain it and once you reach the home island, you won't be able to invite one of Adam's family members into your tribe, you can also attack them. My final nicheling had heat body because the final challenge island I had to go through was the long winter island. The typical path to get to the home island is to continue to go north and if there is not a northern port then you take the port on the right.

Right some other pixel biologists have suggested to remember your home island immunity gene. Neither of the girls have it so you'll need a few more babies. That being said, I remember you doing it when the expansion for Adam came out forever ago. But you never made it to the end. I think you lost home island immunity, lol. You have to keep home island immunity to be recognized by the nichlings that live on the home island. Otherwise you can't invite them to your tribe and they will eat your food.

Only reached the home island once, generations after Adam passed. Hardest part, by far, was keeping the Home Island Immunity Gene! Had a lot of sick babies, but without the gene you can't invite anyone from the home island into the tribe! Also tried keeping at least one descendant with poison fangs, since unlocking it is kinda difficult and poison berry bushes can be abundant on some of the later islands.

my nichelings in the end had wings and sabertooth fangs in the end so yeah except a complete transformation.😅
I’m probably gonna get flak for this, but maybe consider purposefully breeding a double up home island immunity nicheling to make sure the gene stays in the family
Pretty good idea. I let leeches stay on my creatures for a day, because then when I take them off, I can lick to stop the bleeding. This gets me further to the purr snout, and as long as I only wait one day, my creatures suffer no damage

Hey Seri so glad to see niche returning I missed it. Will you be continuing any of the other niece series I know your computer melted though I have no idea if it’s connected to steam or not. Just curious! Good luck and seriously DO NOT LET THAT IMMUNITY GO AWAY. I did this and when I made I didn’t have the immunity and I just had to wait until my species died out it was tragic. I mean I did just try it once and my tribe was already on the verge of death with one baby, two that had like one day left and a child who were all girls.
