Thanks for the video, is there any change you could do a video where you lift the height of the mini? something to accommodate slighty bigger wheels for example
What we'll do is address this in the video for the front suspension and mention how to do the rears at the same time. Subscribe and we'll try to get the new video posted soon.
Informative video, Thanks. I am getting ready for a hi-lo conversion. My immediate concern about a hi-low is: what happens if you get the car airborne (I have done that many times) or up on jackstands. Does the adjustment keep everything together or is there a chance it will fall out or misalign?
The suspension can unload in those circumstances, yes. One fix may be to add rebound straps that can keep everything together. We don't offer anything like that for the Mini specifically but the nylon types for the Sprite rear end might be adapted for this: www.spridgetmania.com/part/AHH5081-NYLON/Nylon-Rebound-Strap-Pair-Rear-Sprite--Midget-58-74.
i have black springs on my mini and about a 2.25 inch gap between the wheels and fender/wing i see some with about .5 to 1 inch gap how do they get it that low without rubbing would the stiffer red spring help or what can i do? looking from the side of the car with group 2 wide arches it looks like a huge gap.
@@troypowell1671 of course, it also depends on wheel and tire size. 13" wheel must run like 50 series tires and fill the wheel arch - 12" and 10" wheels are tires, not so much. so, it could be a combination of some type of lowering and tire aspect ratio to diameter size.
This is the kit you see in the Video. www.minimania.com/part/MMKT0384/Austin-Mini-Rear-Subframe-Assembly-Complete-With-Brakes-Mkiv. However, if you'd like, give Jemal a call at 800-946-2642. He did the video and can walk you through all you'll need.
Hy Guys Thanks for these videos how to install a High/Low suspension on the rear. Can you guys also make a video on how to install them on the front of the car? Kind regards From Belgium Check also my Instagram instagram.com/oldskoolpictures/

Tricks for the rubber ball joint connector dust cover would be nice if there some.
Which parts i need to upgrade the suspension of my old fiberglass hydrolastic austin mini 1000 from 1971 without replacing the subframe?
Good vid, although it would have made more sense to have the subframe the right way up.

Do you mean the standard rubber cones? They won't lower car as much as hi-lo's will. Older, worn out cones will sag, however.
@@minimania no i have hilo adjustable with the black springs. no cones.

Yes, any of the hydro cars can be converted to dry suspension.

Hi there - yes, we will try and do one for the front of the car soon.
Would have been better if you did the install with the rear suffrage still in the car. 90% of people don't remove to do this type of install.
