I am a big player of this game. I have been on this game since beta and believe that it is great. This game is very action packed and has great music as well as backgrounds and battlefields.
@holodock well, yeah, i've played freelancer, but I'm generally interested in space sim/shooters. But thats not the reason. It's just that I like physics and the possibilities it provides. so generally, I'm also against speed restrictions to space craft. :D I don't see why the shape should have an impact in space :> Anyway, I'll look into this, seems interesting.
i wanna do a light fighter like you.. what do you recommend? should i use shield or put skill points into hull? and i don't know which kind of weapons choose :|
i see new gamers are impressed with the flying. hehe, this sort of skills were mandatory if you wanted to get anywhere near completion in the olden space sims
I dont know if you are talking about pirate galaxy but if you are that project was completed long before black prophecy and it is sold to spitscreen studios
@naco2k hmm i might try it out of need for a decent flight sim thought that death penalty seems a bit skimpy wish there was some more permanent loss like xp loss or module destruction
I think you mean ORBITER in the end of your comment. Only thing simulated there is physics, atmospheric flight, mass, fuel expenditure and the solar system. But if you decide to download some mods then it shines because it is in my opinion only a platform for others to add stuff to it.
How's physics implemented? I mean, can you do a 180 degree turn with engine cut so you can practically shoot backwards with the fighters front weapons?
Ah Memory lane, for those who dont know what im talking about. ITs bout a game i used to play made by Microsoft called: Freelancer... I've spend hours on end with that game... might give this one a go aswell.
must say I am much prefering the no shield plan, mobility is sooooo much better, made a new char today an at lvl 6 beating lvl 10s with ease cos they got a shield so can't turn while I dont so just easilly out manouver them
yes its about 15 euros a month for one account same as world of war craft.but eve online is just way more fun to play.free mmo's like this usually flops because they dont have the funs to keep it up with the high engine grafics and its not a sandbox it means that you can do what ever you wanne do .. and thats igood thing to have in a mmo

Naco, were you using a keyboard or flightstick? The flying you did in the first mission between the large ship was impressive.
@Tactividz Thats a setting you can apply. I use mouse and keyboard and you can move the pointer like a first person shooter.

@thedaniel234able You can eventually get ships so large they can't be docked in a station :D

Is this in any way an actual simulator? I keep looking for a space simulator MMO where you have to manually start up your ship and ect.. :C
